Gwen, you made me laugh. Cheers.
Rachel, I was making it lighthearted - all BK fans hate the Emma story

The Emma situation was wholeheartedly stupid but I'm glad we could revel in Mike's fantasy for a few brief, hilarious moments

MERRY XMAS BK FANS!

Always loved the Season 5 Christmas episode for BK

'Twas beautiful

WTF?

I get what you mean now (Rachel's kid), but for a second, I thought you meant the actress who played Emma was in Friends

I'm tipsy, so

Back on topic, Emma in 90210 sucked beyond belief but I think it was wholly indicative of how little anybody behind the scenes cared about the show anymore. I mean, no-one from the first seasons of the writing staff would've done that kind of crap to Brandon, surely

Yeah, the character; the baby. She was adorable.

She was, but I think the show was way less interesting in the later years once the group was starting to hook up and become families. Preferred them all as roommates.

I wonder what would have happened if they had followed through with Kelly and Brandon having a baby in S7 rather than miscarrying. (Would Jason still have left when he did?)

I was fine with them hooking up.

That's a good question of if BK had a kid in S7, would Jason still have left. I think at the time, Jason might not be thinking what was best for BK. If he was, he wouldn't have left and at least save the relationship (regardless of whether or not Kelly still had the baby). He was just thinking of himself and wanted to go.

I agree that Jason would probably leave regardless of what BK stories they had because he got fed up.playing the same role and simply wanted out

You could very well be right about that, Rach

Jason's departure came at the expense of never seeing a satisfying resolution to B/K.

Did he write the episodes? No, but he produced the show, and so he had SOME say in what could or couldn't happen (surely? ) and so it would have been nice for him to have had some input or at least an angry reaction to what was done to them in Season 8.

This begs the question.....did Jason actually enjoy the controversial cheating storyline in S8 because he wanted his character to be more dark? Or is it not true?

That's an interesting point. He might have been more reluctant under those circumstances, because his character could have meant even more to him.

It could have changed his decision if they started a family because it may give him a different dimension on his character becoming a father but then again if Jason was started to get really tired of it then I don't think it will change his decision

Thanks! Us fans may think that he was ruining BK by leaving but he could argue that the show was betraying him by not ending when the last Walsh decided to go - which was him. So, I think he might've felt betrayed when they renewed for S9 and S10.

As far as production, he did get producing credit until the end of S9, I think - even though he wasn't involved with the show at all after he left. This was an agreement on his contract when he left. I read this in one of those long interviews with the other producers.

I think the show should have ended in S8 as it's ran it's course so I get what Jason was saying. The last 2 seasons were seriously bad
