I wasn't sure Brenda saw Kelly on TV but come to think of it, you may be right which is p[probably why she went to Dylan but then again she was already informed about KD breakup in MWGTW Part 1 by Kelly herself

I forgot she saw her on TV. So then, Brenda basically knew about Kelly/Brandon before she left to London?

I know she definitely knew about Kelly/Dylan break up, but I am not sure Kelly would have been fine with Brenda and Dylan getting back together. I think she actually would. She was only interested in Brandon at that point.

Now thinking of it all, I think Kelly actually did not tell Brenda about visiting Brandon simply because she was not sure Brandon would accept her attempts to woo him and Brenda was his sister, so it could have got awkward had Brandon refused her, but kept asking Brenda how Kelly felt about it and stuff.

She told Andrea on wanting to visit Brandon in DC. I don't think Kelly would be that bothered with Brenda going back to Dylan if she gets with Brandon. It would be different if Brandon declined Kelly yet again - he does have a habit of doing that to Kelly. I can't even remember how many times that Brandon refusing to get back with Kelly. If Kelly sees Dylan and Brenda back together (if Brandon did refuse to be with her), it will bother her

Kelly telling Brenda was me thinking that was a possibility. I still say she didn't since when BK were in bed together in Washington, Kelly said she only told Andrea and that Andrea gave them her blessing. I think if Kelly had told Brenda, she would've mentioned her.

I'm sure Brenda would've noticed Kelly on TV. It was a quick shot of her but it was clearly her. Maybe Brenda's mind was elsewhere.

I don't think she did but I'm sure Brenda would be fine if Kelly did tell her about her and Brandon dating

So she did not see her on TV or we do not know that for sure? I remember Brenda became a bit mind-absent at some point while watching TV. If she saw her, then she must have put two and two together.

^ Well, Brenda was staring at the screen but at the same time, she was turning and looking at Jim and Cindy who was so happy for Brandon. So, why didn't Jim and Cindy see Kelly? Maybe they were concentrating on Brandon. Oh, the possibilities.

It's weird; it is to believe that Dylan didn't see her at first. He told Nat that he has to go to the bank. Right when he got up, they showed Kelly in the audience. In fact, when Steve saw her, he said "Hey, I could just sworn I just saw Kelly Taylor," Dylan turned and looked around thinking she was at the Peach Pit.

But when Steve told Dylan that he was in the stands, they showed Kelly again on TV (or least part of her because someone sitting in front was blocking half of her). I guess Dylan didn't believe that was her.

Yeah, well thought. There are many possibilities.

I thought he turned and said "What is she doing there?" I thought he saw her for sure, just thought it was insignificant.

I am rewatching a good part of S3 and in the first half of S3 Brenda still had more screentime than Kelly. I think it changed around mid-season, Game Is Chicken or something, and became about equal. Kelly might have even had more time in some episodes.

Dylan said "Now, what would Kelly be doing in Washington?" Then Steve turned and looks at Dylan in silence.

I never really noticed who had more screen time between Kelly and Brenda but it's good to know.

I took it as a sign that Dylan realized she went for Brandon. But I guess they dropped that possibility in S5.

I might be wrong, but that was my impression.

I didn't know how Dylan couldn't put two and two together that she went to Washington to see Brandon....but I think Dylan had other matters on his mind; $$$$.

I really think Dylan realized what was going on, he just did not really object at that point. Then they ignored it for S5 and he was all shocked about Kelly/Brandon.

Maybe Dylan assumed Kelly was there to help Brandon with his task force activities. Technically, that's true since Kelly did attend the task force event.

Btw, I rewatched Rebel with a Cause and it really pisses me off how both girls direct their anger on each other instead on Dylan. Ok, Brenda felt like her hands were a bit tied because she told him he could date anyone he wanted, and Kelly shocked her, so it was easier for me to understand her. Yet Kelly knows that the problem was she and Dylan did not tell Brenda anything before they met her, yet she is more angry at her than at Dylan.
