I think to everyone at his goodbye party

It made me think back to S1 finale when his family was supposed to leave and how much better that was... This felt very meh, and from what I remember from Jason's interview on it, it felt very meh for him as well, not just Brandon as character. I mean, he and Andrea were the only characters who got their goodbye parties, but while Andrea's felt like a decent bye to a friend who goes for a better life and a meaningful next step, it did not feel the same way for Brandon. More like proving that everyone else can continue with their by that point really boring lives and we should focus on that.

^ Every time Jason is asked to reference Brandon's exit in an interview, you can feel the disappointment and discomfort clouding his tone. He's pretty much said various times that he feels they punished his character out of some revenge towards his premature exit.

It sucks because he was the last standing embodiment of the key family in the show. Without the Walshes, the show stops meaning anything and just becomes every other flashy / sexy show about beautiful people. There was no depth without Brandon.

It seems to me that he was also pointing out general lack of energy and enthusiasm of the people who continued working on the show, and that it should have ended with his exit. Which it should have, I will always think that
