^^^ Those season 1 screencaps where Brandon realizes that Steve spiked his drink



Talk about problematic.

I feel as if this is shoved under the rug for most viewers, simply because Brandon is male and nobody really takes him seriously when he says he doesn't want a drink.

(I'm not being anti-Brandon/Steve here, I'm just saying that this was definitely not Steve's finest hour in the friendship department )

Yeah, Steve was a jerk there. No doubt about it. Spiking the drink is very irresponsible, especially when someone is driving (I assume Brandon was driving back home from Donna's party). Luckily nothing happened, I guess because it was just a bit of alcohol, but it could have, because Brandon had no experience with it. It's not like Steve planned to rape him, but it was still not ok.

Then Brandon drinking as much as he did and drunk driving at his own party is his responsibility, not Steve's.

Steve did start off as a jerk but his friendship towards Brandon became the best of all friendships on the show IMO
And it does help in the fact that they are my 2 favorite characters on the show
