I know this board is filled with fans but many of them don't come on here much anymore. Maybe they'll appear because of the news.

I don't see Luke being a series regular even if he wanted too. He has a contract with Riverdale and the only thing he'd be able to do would be guest star. Amidst Shannen's health etc. She seems to be doing amazingly well. She is working and her insta is always active and she looks to be doing good. I see her as maybe a guest star too. I can't see her signing on to be a regular even if she came back for fans.

So far both Luke and Shannen have not committed from the news aspect. My source confirms Luke but it hasn't seemed that way as far as the news goes. I can hope for a BD off screen reunion or maybe a reunion when guest appearing. Another thing that worries me is people magazine is reporting that this will be a untraditional reboot and they won't be reprising their roles? Now I don't know if this is true but its ridiculously stupid if so. People want to see Brenda, Dylan, Brandon, Andrea, Kelly, Donna, Steve and David as themselves. As 40 somethings and see whats happened to them. Where they are in their life etc. No one wants a new show with all of them not in their characters. It's like a dream come true with stipulations and it's worries me. Reunite the cast and come back or don't. Also with jason there it settles me nerves about a KD thing though. I don't know why but it does.

If they were smart they would continue from the series finale and write the whole spin off out. Not all of them were part of it and other shows did it. Will and Grace did it and Roseanne did it too. The wrote out having a kid on both. SOOOOO wishful thinking lol

It sounds like all of this is seriously happening but no one has picked it up and or confirmed more than what we've heard. The petition maybe is a dumb thing but maybe not. If it gets enough signatures to spark conversation then it's doing its job. I made the petition not because I have much hope that we will truly get what we want but I feel like this is happening whether we approve or not so why not have a voice. Nashville petition had over 35,000 signatures we have a really long way to go to make a BANG. So share the petition as much as you can and I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

As for whether the cast will or will not play their original roles... I'm not sure what would be the best thing. The writers certainly didn't do them justice in the last seasons of the original series, and I'm not gonna comment on the decisions they made in the 1st reboot

All I wanted for the original was Brandon/Kelly, Dylan/Brenda, Steve/Clare and David/Valerie.

Given that none of those things happened at the end, I won't get my hopes up.
