Nope! I just looked it up and saw that it was also offered to Alicia Silverstone and Drew Barrymore. It's cool because I know Tiff along with Reese Witherspoon and SMG were considered for Cher.

I also read they considered Alicia Silverstone for the role of Brenda, but I guess it cannot be true, because she was too young. I guess for Val they definitely wanted someone who was sort of already famous.

I did not know that. She is such a different type than Alicia, Reese and Sarah! I mean, these three are very much alike.

Yes, but her career was a bit in decline at that point, I think, so who knows. Maybe she would have done it eventually. Although, back in time famous film actors simply did not do TV shows, at least until they got into certain age when they could do whatever they wanted, because they were legends. Actors were becoming successful doing either movies or TV, not both. That's it. Successful TV career was a killer for movie career, in a way. Nowadays famous movie actors do TV shows like no one's business, although mainly mini TV series of 1 season, but back in time I think it was unimaginable.

Claire Danes is one of the rare examples of TV actors who became famous pre-2000 first on TV and then in movies. And don't say Brad Pitt, because he did not become famous due to Dallas!

Oh no, I wouldn't say Brad Pitt but I would say, for instance, the cast of Dawson's Creek (Michelle Wiliams, Katie Holmes, and to some extent Joshua Jackson). Same with Sarah Michelle Gellar. TV to film was doable but, like you said, film to TV unimaginable at the time and a career slide-down, so there's just one more reason why it'd be weird if Drew signed on.

In this clip, Tiffani talks about how Luke asked her to drink hot water before makeout scenes. I can see how it might actually be practical advice, but she doesn't know if he was just messing with her all along.
