Well, I guess he also tried his luck and would be happy to get his jollies with Andrea - but did not insist. He was not pushy. This scene after she left when he laughs and jumps on his bed also shows Steve's nature. He was not a typical rude jock, as he seemed sometimes. He was playful and boyish.
