Hey, Mike, Rachel.

Indeed, I remember the first time I tried high-speed at a library (years ago) and saw the difference between that and dial-up. With higher speeds, a video loads immediately. On dial-up, it can take between 10 minutes and an hour, depending on size. Dial-up also takes a while to download things, or to load certain pages.

It's kind of weird how my little cell phone is so much more powerful than my old desktop dial-up, but it's definitely a good thing.

My laptop and Wifi works well where I live in North-West London especially downloads. Cell phones (or mobile phone) are definitely more powerful though

I remember when I can’t afford internet service and I had to use NetZero’s free 10 hours a months service. It was slow and had ads. I remember using the 10 hours up within 2 days.

I know the feeling, Rachel. We've all had struggles, and, chances are, we've all spent too much time on the Internet. I used to spend hours browsing through stuff out of boredom. Can't do that now that I have limited GB, and this is actually a good thing. I don't even take the phone everywhere. I've spent years watching people stare at these things all the time, and I'd rather not do that.

Browsing through the net is an addiction and this is something I keep away from. Doing activities outside keeps you away from your computer. I'm a family man and busy with my kids. And travel a lot too. I'm about to fly to Dubai and then to Qatar next week having just been to Stuttgart in Germany and Copenhagen in Denmark for work purposes. After Qatar, heading Bangalore in India for work purposes as well.
I'm trying to make sure my 2 boys keep themselve active and not be on the computer for long

Good to hear that, Mike. Just keep an eye on them out there when you can, though I'm sure you already do. I remember Jennie's ex, Peter, once saying that as a parent, you feel a little concerned almost every time a kid walks out the door.

I spend 8 plus hours in front of a computer at work and then come home and spend at least 2 more hours in front of the computer at home.

That's a bummer Rachel

James, it is important to keep your children on the right path instead of going astray. Being on social media for hours and hours can damage a child's mind - this is why I keep both of my boys active with sports, interests, education and leisure done in the right way. I've forbidden alcohol in my house as we don't drink beer, spirits or wine anymore. A healthy lifestyle is what is important to us.
I used to be a party bad boy doing a little this, messing with chicks, drinking lots of beer, but over 16 years ago, alcohol had a major effect on me for tragic reasons which is why I stopped drinking alcohol and you are better off without it

I'm always having plenty of fun in the summer. Yes we are doing a few things but it depends on the unpredictability of UK weather
