Looking at the title, who did that Caleb Walsh guy turn out to be? Not related to the Walshes, I presume? (you don't have to tell me other details, he was a swimmer alright )

Hahahaha Me neither. But I barely saw anything, and it was only while Shannen and Jennie were on together.

Yeah, that was pretty terrible. Especially when they made the Peach Pit Starbucks.

Esma, just look at the convo we had in th first 2 pages of this thread That guy was gone faster than Brandon Routh's career after Superman Returns. But that's not even the worse part...it's the writer's reason to name him "Walsh" Omg you gotta read that, I still can not believe they went there...gosh what a piece of crap that show was

I honestly can't get with any teen dramas after 2000. I feel like the writer's don't even take it seriously. It just goes to show that the 90210 spinoff was a biz decision. Personally, I think all spinoffs should be by the original creator ( see Degrassi and Boy Meets World).

My favorite thing about our 90210 is that even tho it could be campy and soapy- the first 5 years were def. made by people who loved the show and most importantly the characters. The new 90210? Not so much.

^ To this day, I've never seen an episode of Party of Five, Dawson's Creek, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, 7th Heaven, Gilmore Girls, etc. While I have nothing against these shows, I felt like I didn't wanna invest in a show again that "may" disappoint me.

I am a fan of Degrassi and Boy Meets World. I can remember most of it. It's really hard for me to remember all of Degrassi or Degrassi TNG because there were so many characters in it...but for the most part, I enjoyed it.

I loved the concept of Boy Meets World. My favorite season will always be the 1st season. It was very simple and interesting concept to have see the world through the eyes of an 11 year old. I think I was 10 when the show debuted and while my life was much different than Cory's, it was definitely very interesting and entertaining. For the most part, I enjoyed the entire series but I found it to be very boring towards the end. Of course, the writers didn't follow the SL from beginning to end because if you have seen all 7 seasons, you too should realize the many contradictions in the show including the length of time Cory and Topanga were together as a couple. I'm waiting to see how the spinoff will work out.

Party of Five is in a league of it's own. I'm not even sure it should be in the teen discussion. It was more of a family drama but it was so well done. Gilmore Girls was also so well written that it shouldn't be in the convo. 7th Heaven was cheezy but good for its time. Dawson's Creek is the best comparison- it was a teen drama but the writer of the two seasons loved the characters- it def. fell when he left.

I just think spinoff's don't work unless you truly love the franchise.

^ I agree. Is it just me or are spinoffs of shows created by people who seemed like have very little knowledge or no knowledge of the original series? All they cared about is the money.

One spinoff that I didn't think would last 11 years was Fraiser. Family Matters lasted 9 years.

Omg, Ruby, have you watched the finale yet?

I'll reply to the rest in a bit. Bedtime for now.
