How's everyone doing? I've got family in town, which is always nice, but it makes things so hectic. Plus of course I want to make sure everything's perfect so to not get any grief.

I got brand new flat widescreen monitor yesterday. It's beautiful

I still had an old clunky one that took up half my desk. I lost a lot of space in the move, so I really needed this to be able to fully utilize my desk. Plus it's pretty...

But it's a real problem to try to find backgrounds that are the right size. This thing is huuuge.

It's awesome. So much more space... and a much better picture

We had our big homecoming week last week at school, which was amazing. It was my last one so I went all out. Luckily the teachers go easy on us... but this week they're already making up for being lax for a week.

And I had to break out my winter coat today. So not cool...

Which I will be watching this weekend... but I love the new direction. Can't wait to see the episodes I haven't seen or heard about. Very exciting.

I have become very involved/invested in the Twilight book series after finishing the first book and seeing the movie. I've only scratched the surface of the second book, but I noticed how much more interested I am.

I hate that ABC cancelled PD.

It's just not right! Not at all. I am going to miss the hell out of my Piemaker!

No, Ken, we don't celebrate Thanksgiving here.

I loved QaF s5, but I disliked a lot of things in s4, most of it was way too serious/depressing for me. I was satisfied with the series' conclusion though, I've enjoyed most of s5 and the finale was superb.

As for Twilight... I've gone from liking it to hating it with a passion.

The first book way okay, I disliked the 2nd one and then I stopped. I read summaries of the final two and sorry to say, I found them kinda disgusting.

I thought the series started out fine, but I didn't like where it went.

And I'm annoyed by all the comparisons to Btvs, it's not even on the same level!

Each to his own though.

How was your thanksgiving, Ken?

I just saw the Twilight movie for the second time today.

I had promised my friend that I'd see it with her on her break from school, but I also went to the midnight premiere

It wasn't amazing or anything. But it was a fun movie. Robert Pattinson does nothing for me (am I the only girl who feels that way?

). But I really did like all the parts with the Cullens. Those are my favorite parts in the books, too.

It's great that you're reading them, Ken! Are you a big E/B fan, I hope?

I actually like Jacob better than Edward. Not with Bella, but just as his own character. So I love New Moon and the next two. Enjoy them!

Stjepo, I can see where you're coming from. And twilight's definitely not on the level of Buffy. For me they're just fun reads, but it's hard to take it too seriously. I'm definitely not one of the crazed Edward fans

But I did have fun laughing at them at the movie opening.

People were seriously screaming their lungs out in the theater when RP came on... part of the reason it's hard for me to take it seriously.

It really makes me sad about television in general. How do really cliche shows about who's sleeping with who get so many viewers, but a great, original, creative show wasn't being watched and wasn't getting much support from the network? I'm going to miss my piemaker and dead girl so much, too

Exactly.

And it sucks about Pushing Daisies.

I agree with Katie, a lot of useless, shallow shows get renewed all the time and one of the most original ones in the past few years gets the boot. Not cool.
