4x18/4x19 "Time After Time" - The 2-Hour Episode Discussion (airs 04/11)

'Ello, fellow posters.
I'm starting this quite early because we haven't had a new episode in a while and since it's
a very special one, I believe there is a lot to talk about even before it officially airs. We've
discussed some of the castings in the News thread, but feel free to share your opinions here as well.
We certainly could use a post count boost since we haven't been doing so great lately. So, any
episode-related discussions are welcome. Let's get this event started.

In an effort to get to the root of the secret that William's nemesis, Dennis York,
holds over their heads, the Walkers recall their memories, both good and horrifying,
of their family's days at Ojai Foods in 1986. Then, as they continue to flashback to
their younger days, they finally recall the shocking secret and the shameful cover-up
that led to York's power play, and are forced to deal with the remorse of a tragic
event. Meanwhile, Nora and Holly take an uncharacteristic trip, a la "Thelma &
Louise," to search for answers about Ojai's hidden worth, and Justin and Rebecca
finally get their happily ever after.

Part One Written by Sherri Cooper-Landsman & Jennifer Levin
Part Two Written by Alison Schapker & Monica Owusu-Breen
Directed by Ken Olin

Any news on castings of Nora & Holly? I believe both are supposed to appear.
It's been confirmed we won't see young Saul though.

What does everyone think of Colin Egglesfield as William? I was a bit surprised since he's
quite dark, unlike most of the Walkers who are all fair brunettes.

Are you looking forward to this one? Do you like the idea of the 80s flashbacks?
Share your thoughts, and enjoy the episode on Sunday!

Awesome thread, Stjepo!

I'm super excited for this episode! I hope it doesn't disappoint. But I don't know about the summary - "horrifying" memories? Sounds way too over the top

Is it just me or does young Sarah look like Cobie Smulders in all of these pictures?

Fortyseven 04-05-2010 01:39 PM

Yes, I did notice the resemblance to Cobie!

I'm not a big fan of the B&S flashbacks; I liked the ones in 1x09 (despite Nora's hair  ) but the William ones in 1x15 & 2x16 bored me and I didn't think they were really necessary. :look: But they seem to be putting much more effort into this one, so hopefully it'll deliver. :)

Who's playing Nora and Holly? God, please don't tell me they are going to make those ladies appear younger? Unless they use a time machine, I just don't see that working. :P

Love who they got for most of the cast. We already know how I feel about Kitty's casting. Colin as William, yum! Not sure if he even remotely fits the profile, but who cares!

Seems Justin/Rebecca might finally tie the knot, officially. Love the idea of a Holly/Nora road trip. :lmao:

There's no way they'll keep Sally & Patty as younger versions of themselves, especially after casting Colin as William. However, I didn't find any info on the cast. I can see them being able to pull off the episode without showing young Holly, but Nora? Not likely.

That was my reaction too. They couldn't be more different but he's good looking so I don't think people will complain.

I know they were definitely casting Nora. Kristin had a list of perspectives a few months ago, but I don't remember hearing who the final choice was. I'm interested in seeing a young Holly, too!

Four days! :woot:

Meet the young William Walker! :eyebrows:

I think they should find a way to bring him into the present day and keep him there. :innocent: Hey, it worked on Charmed, didn't it?

Katiegg108 04-08-2010 06:46 PM

Damn. I can see how I had all these women flocking for him

smoothaise 04-09-2010 07:28 PM
