| no limits.. you're not the only one who felt a little cheated. From newsday. Quote:
Actually I'm glad they didn't kill off the Senator. While it might have been an interesting plot point a show of this type needs to balance the need for drama against the risk of having their characters wallow at all the disasters you throw at them. That was the problem with Berlanti's last show, Everwood. A good portion of the characters became so miserable with things happening around them that you almost hated then as annoying whiner. Particularly Emily VanCamp's character who stumbled from one crisis to another. But I digress. I think throwing a death at this juncture would've been a bit too much to throw on the Walker's table. I found the Holly / Tommy storyline the most interesting even if it was the b or even c storyline of the night. I'm glad Holly didn't back down. Tommy deserves to be smacked down and Holly should be pressing the matter. Course the question is (and what we get to find out next week) is how hard she wants to press her advantage. The smart move is to use it as leverage in exchange for increasing her ownership share and have Tommy thrown out of the company in exchange for dropping legal charges. After all a public spectacle caused by an officer stealing money can't be good for business. __________________ Thomas: How can you be a nymphomaniac and never had sex? | Ready to post my thoughts now.. ![]() ~ I thought it was fine as a 2 hour thing, I think squeezing everything that happened into one hour may have been too much and would have cut down on a lot of great scenes and powerful moments for the characters. And on a totally selfish note, I had nothing else to do that evening, so I was quite happy with a two hour long special to keep me entertained. ~ The Robert having a heart attack storyline was really interesting to follow. I had a feeling something along that line was going to happen when he couldn't find the Aspirin he was looking for in his office, and also before that, when he grabbed the water bottle to drink. [Someone posted on the previous page remarking that they seemed to be emphasizing the water...I thought so too. When the camera panned in on it first, I thought maybe it was poisoned or something and that would lead to him getting sick. ]~ Gotta say, I'm disapointed that Robert's still planning on going through with his campaign, despite Kitty telling him not to and the fact that he's lying in the hospital. But I also sorta expected it to happen, given how driven and determined his character is at succeeding in his political career. ~ Calista's performance in this episode was really great, throughout the baby delivery scene and her running through the hospital to get to Robert. ~ I loved Kevin in this episode and him opening up on his affection for Robert, beginning to view him as a friend and just generally being concerned for his well-being. It was really sweet. ![]() ~ Glad to see Justin/Rebecca are patching things up. Gotta feeling Ryan stepping into the picture might allow a possible triangle to develop, but I'm interested in seeing how it goes and how the rest of the Walkers will like him. ~ The Tommy/Holly drama appears to have just gotten started. I'm really not sure how I feel about it. I can understand Tommy's desire to fix things up with the company and take it back so that it's under his family's ownership and out of Holly's control; but at the same time, all his secretive and shady business in getting to that hasn't exactly been smart. Looking forward to next week's! ![]() __________________ "to strive, to seek, to find, and not yield." .

I feel like 3x16's "Fix you" ending would have served much better as a weekly cliffhanger rather than the episode's middle point. The next week's episode looks much more intense IMO. ![]() __________________ :: icon credit ::

| ^ ITA! And that was the point I meant. It didn't need to air together. __________________ Well you know I know who stole my soul, | |||

| Fan Forum's Finest ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Sorry I didn't get around to writing a review for this episode 'til now, but as I suck at writing them (and don't like writing anyway) I just didn't get around to it. Anywho, I really liked this two hour episode. And I like that it was two hours and that it aired together on the same night. I know that's not a very popular opinion, but that's just my opinion. I like how the episode started about halfway through the story and then went back to the day before. Reminded me of the season 1 valentine's episode and the season 3 episode with the Greenatopia party. ![]() I'm glad that Robert and Kitty finally have their baby, so that that storyline can be over. I enjoyed it, but thought it was going on a little too long. And I really like that Kitty insisted on 'Walker' being in his name ![]() I also liked how the birth of the baby was synched up with the heart attack. I think Robert would have had the heart attack whether he was present for the birth or not, but if he were there, then he would already be in the hospital so he might not have died briefly. I'm really not happy with Robert for still wanting to go for Governor after this heart attack. And I just don't see the current Governor withdrawing her threat just because he had a heart attack and is refusing to give up. Now about the whole Ojai thing, I'm glad that Holly found the info she needed to prove what Tommy did. I mean, he just went too far and as others have said, he dug his own grave. And I like that David was there to help/support Holly and Rebecca. And Ryan showing up near the end was very interesting. And a couple side notes: the hug Scotty gave Kevin at the hospital And it was great seeing Paige and Cooper briefly, I hope we'll see more of them in episodes to come.__________________ Julie So if you care to find me, look to the Western sky IconAs someone told me lately, everyone deserves the chance to fly | |||
