I think that's why he's a lyrical genious...The song has so many different meanings.

It could also be about a long distance relationship as well, and he figures out when he's so far away that she's the person he wants to be with. And even being so far away, it's almost bringing him closer.

I think this one is kinda hard to interpret

I mean we know that it's about Issac's bother Caleb ... but who's the "SHE"

Yeah, sorry...I just copy and pasted the lyrics over, I didn't double check them. But we all know what they are.

I look past it written about Caleb.

I think that's why The Fray's fanbase can reach out to more than one audience...because all of the songs have different meanings, which can also be confusing..for me at least.

I think it could be about that beginning time in a relationship right when both people are putting their cards out on the table. He's really into her, but she's not in it as deep as he is and he's starting to realize that...so he's just hanging on by a thread, coming to the conclusion that the relationship probably wont last.

When I first heard this song, I didn't really think of it as a "romantic" or love song...but the more you read into it, I kind of started to see it a little.

Great thoughts about Over My Head!

I think that even though we know it's written about Caleb, The Fray made the words more general to relate to a bunch of different things.

I interpret it kinda like there was a relationship where the guy was "in over his head" and he wishes he could stop thinking about her and distance himseld but he just can't. Hope that makes sense.

IA it's not just a song about his brother and if I haven't read it was about Caleb I would never guess and I would interprate the song like this :
he's in love with a girl and the girl knows that but she just playing with his feelings, she's not intersted by him.
He wishes he wasn't in love with her and that he could just forget her "I wish you were a stranger I could disengage"
