Maybe after the first of the year I can do another picspam to liven up the thread.

Yeah, there is a film festival every year in Canada. And there are plenty is movies opening. Even I can't go see all of the movies that are out but I still manage to try.

She doesn't have to attend lots of things but one now and then wouldn't hurt. It would be an easy way to keep in touch too. Get a picture, get an update on news even.
