I hated their relationship in s1, and start of s2, because he was too harsh, but in the end, ironically after his death, we saw how Sara loved her father, and he died for her cause!

He was really harsh especially when she went to meet him in S1 and he was meeting with people, he was so mean, even said that stuff about her drug days and that

Yeah, exactly. In S1 he was really mean, totally ignored her and her pleas too. I guess he never understood why she chose to do drugs. Maybe he didn't want to see that just maybe it was his fault too.

I would have liked to see the history between the two of them, like what sparked the tension between them, how they were when she was younger. if they were close and grew apart as she grew up, or not

Yeah, that brings up a lot of speculation. I mean, I have the inkling to think that everything fell apart between them when her mother died.
