Skeet Ulrich #1: Hitting It Big With Jericho
Early life
Ulrich was born in Lynchburg, Virginia and was raised in Concord, North Carolina by his father (his parents were divorced). His father reportedly misspelled Bryan's first name on the birth certificate as "Brain". The nickname "Skeet" originated from the nickname "Skeeter" he was given by his Little League coach due to his small stature. He also had nicknames such as "Chester" and "Mosquito." Along with his slight frame he had poor health, including numerous bouts with pneumonia, and had undergone open heart surgery at the age of 10. His stepfather is former NASCAR driver D.K. Ulrich. Education Ulrich graduated from Northwest Cabarrus High School, where he was a soccer standout. After initially enrolling at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington to study Marine Biology, he switched to New York University, and was subsequently noticed by playwright David Mamet. Acting career After joining the Atlantic Theater Company as an apprentice, Ulrich performed with the group, which got him noticed yet again, this time by director Stacy Cochran. She cast him in an ABC After School Special. With her help he also received his first notable role on screen in 1996 as the loutish boyfriend of Winona Ryder in Boys. Ulrich is perhaps best known for his role as Billy Loomis, Neve Campbell's boyfriend in Wes Craven's Scream. In later years Ulrich has not seen as much professional success, but has had a few memorable roles that attracted some notice. Ulrich starred alongside Cuba Gooding Jr. in the action film Chill Factor. He had a small but pivotal role as an emotionally conflicted homosexual hustler in As Good as It Gets, he starred as Juvenal, a young man with stigmata and healing powers in the film Touch, and he appeared in Ride with the Devil, an American Civil War drama directed by Ang Lee. He also played computer hacker Kevin Mitnick in the film Takedown. On television, Ulrich starred in the short-lived ABC series Miracles, and appeared in TNT's multiple Emmy-nominated miniseries, Into the West. Ulrich was recently cast in the CBS drama Jericho, which premiered on September 20, 2006. Marriage In 1997 Ulrich married English actress Georgina Cates, whom he met at an Academy Award party. Their wedding was a small ceremony held on their farmland in Virginia, with the only guests being the preacher and their canine companions. They have twins: a son Jakob Dylan, and a daughter, Naiia Rose, born on March 9, 2001. Skeet and Georgina divorced in 2005 citing irreconcilable differences. They share custody of their children. Add mee! I love this man with .. everything, lmao. Actually, I've been a fan since his 'Scream' days, and of course, Jericho is amazing.

Do you guys think he looks like Johnny Depp? I've always thought that, and .. I mean, it's definitely a good thing.

i'm so happy that you made this thread. i meant to do it awhile ago, but i'd always get sidetracked on the other boards .
i totally never knew that he grew up in NC, about an hour away from where i live. i wonder if he ever comes back and visits. i first saw him in Scream and thought he was great, he was really good in The Newton Boys too. but i definitely think Jericho is his best thing yet. i definitely see the Johnny resemblence, especially when he used to have longer hair. heh, they both kindof went through that longer greasy looking hair phase. 'tis ok though, cause they were both hot enough to get away with it. ... the only thing thats been annoying me week after week and its gotten worse is his posture. when he's standing there it's like one shoulder is drooping down further than the other and when he walks it sometimes looks uncomfortable, lol, i just want to go and stand him up straight or something. alright i've babbled long enough ... i'd love to be added to the list __________________

Added new people
I'm going to go back and evenually get around to seeing Scream even if I'm not a horror movie person. Is it just the first one that he was in? The Newton Boys is going to be a must see just because of who else is in the movie with him I was looking around for pics and saw that a batch of things compared him to Johnny with that first pic really showing it. I think that he did look like Johnny and especially pulled the look off very well __________________

Yeah, he's just in the first Scream movie. But that's okay, because that's the best one out of the three. And yeah, the Newton Boys was really good.

I just hope that I don't get too scared with Sream b/c I don't do horror movies, but should be okay with it being like a slasher not like a ghost which is the scariest

Wow, in the first pic he really does look like Johnny Depp. I really noticed a resemblance between them a couple years ago when i saw Scream.
Has anyone seen Chill Factor? It's really good. Skeet does an amazing job. SKEET ONLINE : your Skeet Ulrich resource A good Skeet website. |

Is that the movie that he did with Cuba Jr Gooding because I saw some pics about it while googling about him. It looked good
Nice an updated Skeet site because I saw one that seemed died and it seemed to have been a good one from him back in the 90's. I'll added that too the opening __________________
