Personal Information: Date of Birth August 1975, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia Height 6' 1" (1.85 m) Alternate Names Alex O'Lachlan Biography: The Australian actor Alex O'Loughlin was born in August 1975. Alex started out his film career in 2004, when he starred in The Oyster Farmer as Jack Flinge. The following year, he returned to the big screen in Feed as Michael Carter, a movie which he also co-produced and helped write. Also released that year was a movie titled Man-Thing, in which Alex played Deputy Eric Fraser. However, his most recent role in a feature film was that of Marcus Bohem in The Invisible, released in 2007. Alex acted in the Australian miniseries "The Incredible Journey of Mary Bryant" as the title role's husband. Alex also made his way to American serialized television, on "The Shield" as Detective Kevin Hiatt, the newest member of the strike team. Alex can be seen in August Rush as Marshall, a movie being released in 2007, and also Whiteout, potentially in 2008. In 2005, he was nominated for The Australian Film Institute's "Best Lead Actor in Television" for his role in "Mary Bryant". In 2006 he was nominated for the Logie Awards' "Silver Logie" in the same category and role. Trivia:

 I cant believe how quickly I've fallen for him, it normally takes longer than this - even with Josh (my number one TV crush - I must have a thing for long hair). I'm not getting up either so I'll just lie there with the rest of you guys . |

I'm just watching "Mary Bryant" which stars Alex. He has quite a large role.
He is amazing, this movie allowed him to really show his depth his emotion, his accent! Plus one thing we don't get to see much on Moonlight that I wish we would see more of after seeing this is the facial expressions he does. Now that I know who he is, I'm trying to get my hands on all of his past work to see him.
I hardly recognized him in The Invisible, but he did look oh so hot with the shaved head! Yvonne - Thanks for the pictures, I will add them to the first post! Mel - "Mary Bryant" is a must see, and not only for Alex, Romola Garai is superb in her role. |
