Adrien Brody: He come out of nowhere to wow us all #1

I looked EVERYWHERE and couldn't find a thread for Adrian Brody, so I thought I'd start one!
Adrien is such an amazing actor and deserves some recognition. It seems like he came completely out of nowhere a few years ago with teh Pianist, but he's actually been acting since 1988. I am so proud of him for getting nominated for Sideways, but he should have been nominated for The Village as well, because that was an extremely challenging role, and he pulled it off beautifully.
He has two new movies coming out this year (and one at the Sundance Film Festival right now), and he should have a thread!
Anyone else like him?

Wow! Of those movies, I've only seen The Pianist, The Village, and Thin Red Line. I loved all three of those movies.

I rented "The Pianist" not knowing what to expect. I just knew he won the Oscar and gave a cool speech. I was blown away! It was one of the best movies I have ever seen. I've watched it a few times now and forced all my family and friends to watch it. It's such a triumph of the human spirit and a ghastly illustration of the human condition at the same time.

I also think Adam is very hot. I was walking through the streets of Melbourne (Aust) and noticed him in some posters for an exclusive clothing label (I forget which one).

I was surprised to hear he replaced Ashton Kutcher The Village. I mean you've got to be kidding me! Thank God for that.

Anyway, of the films listed above, which do you recommend I see?

Ashton Kutcher? WTF? Lol. I don't think he could have ever pulled that role off.
Yeah, the Pianist rocked.

In most of these movies, he has bit parts, but some good ones are:
-Nothing to Lose
-The Jacket
and
-Summer of Sam

And I'm sure you've seen Angels in the Outfield but might not remember it. With the kid from Third Rock from the Sun. Cute Disney movie. You can hardly find Adrien though.

I love this guy too! He was incredible in The Pianist and I was so rooting for him to win the Oscar and when he did, I was so happy for him. He was also wicked in The Village, playing the disturbed yet childish Noah Percy. He was one of the reasons that I loved this movie.

I just watched The Jacket. Mediocre movie, but Adrien was awesome in it, as always.

I've got an Adrien Brody site!

I Adrien he is just amazing and was truly fantastic in the pianist. Cant wait to see him in the Jacket when its released over here in the uk. He is just so gorgeous aswell. Lucky Halle Berry and Queen Latifa getting a kiss of him - i sure wouldnt complain if that were me. He's got it skill and the look.

I first saw Adrien in 'Summer of Sam' and I loved him right there and then.

Then all of a sudden he was everywhere!!! I remember when he won for 'The Pianist'. I was rooting for him so when they said his name I jumped! I was thrilled!

'The Pianist' is an amazing movie, and his performance is nothing short of excellent.

I agree about him being really sexy in 'The Jacket'

The only Adrien movie I've watched is The Pianist, but it's so good and it's 90% because of that incredible, mindblowing, almost superhuman performance from Adrien. You literally saw him wasting away and when he finally played the piano for that German soldier, I cried. I can't remember who else were the other nominees and generally I don't remember award winners but I remember him winning (and deservedly so).

Also, the label is Ermangildo Zegna! (not sure if I've spelt Ermangildo correctly...) and he was really hot there. I get laughed at for thinking he's hot, but he really is. I'm not the only one who thinks so

I really liked The Pianist also, that was a really great role!

I also loved Adrien in The Village, The Jacket, King Kong.

I can't wait to see what he's going to do next.
