Save The Black Donnellys #1 Because We Didn't Get A Fair Chance

http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e3...umGraphic1.jpg

We all know that The Black Donnellys has been cancelled.

We are fighting against this with all of our mights.

There are THOUSANDS of people that are doing this. PLEASE help. It doesn't take much.

You can call this number and ask to be redirected to the comment line and leave a message.

(212)-664-4444

You can also call Victoria Brody at this number. She's the Entertainment Manager at NBC for The Black Donnellys.

(212) 664-5276

No matter who you call, PLEASE be respectful. I know it's difficult and we all want to yell our butts off at these people, but it's not going to help. We need to be kind and we need to be courteous. And we need to be annoying in the most subtle way possible.

You can also email Victoria Brody at

victoria.brody@nbcuni.com

I emailed her over 200 times. If I can do it, you can too!

If you call, here are the points that you should bring up. Rephrase them. We don't all want to say exactly the same thing. It comes off too rehearsed.

-Nielsen ratings do not incorporate the targeted age group

-Every TBD episode has been on the Top 10 of the TV Downloads the week after they've aired.

-It's on at a bad time. Monday 10:00. CSI is on at the same time. It is an old show and already has an established and dedicated fan base.

- If you are willing to put the episodes up online for the viewers to continue watching the show, then you have enough viewers to warrant at least finishing the season on television in a different timeslot.

-The targeted age group is more into downloading and watching television on the internet than on its scheduled time.

-The advertisement was extremely poor.

This is what we should be doing!

Remember! Be respectful!

Another email that is not Victoria's, but is a general email is

nbcshows@nbc.com

PLEASE send more than one email. It's not difficult. It takes up very little time. And it can be very effective.

Here is something that you can send if you aren't feeling creative.

ATTN: THE BLACK DONNELLYS <----That will catch their attention. Put it in the subject line.

To Whom It May Concern:

We are the loyal fans of your show, THE BLACK DONNELLYS. Recently, we've seen the news saying that our new favorite show is going to be canceled. We vow to try to do anything in our power to NOT let that happen.

The Black Donnellys has great potential to become a hit for your network and we're prepared to do anything give The Black Donnellys the opportunities to do so. We are very concerned that the network has overlooked the fact that The Black Donnellys has a promising fan base, that is going to, quite frankly, take a hit from Dokey's axe. We're begging you not to let that happen.

Please save our show!

Sincerely,
(Your name here)
A Loyal Fan Of The Black Donnellys

Thank you in advance for your participation!

Latest News:

This is from Billy Lush! If you won't listen to me, listen to him!

So here is the rub guys. NBC.com will stream a new episode every week, begining this Monday April 9th, at 6PM Pacific/9PM Eastern. The episode will be available on iTunes the next day - Tuesday - immediately following.

So here is where you come in... There is still a chance, granted a very small one that if The Black Donnelly's is in the top 3 or 4 most streamed series at NBC.com (as we are now), and continue to be in the top ten most downloaded at iTunes, that maybe by the time NBC starts going over the renewals they might take into account all of this information and see that we really were a success.

SOOOOOOOOOOOOO...
SPREAD THE WORD and have everyone download The Black Donnelly's on NBC.com and on iTunes!!!!
download the nbc.com one every single day. .. the more the better!!!
so spread the word, once again, its all up to the viewers!

Thanks,

Billy Lush

What! Why did it get cancelled? Are they like stopping right now or will they at least finish airing the season? :[

-Kelly- 04-06-2007 06:47 AM

Wow...and you guys just got this board too

mcdreamylover 04-06-2007 07:18 AM

Yeah they're going to stop airing it immediately.

The song Ironic is coming to mind right now!

You may want to include in your e-mails that 30 Rock was renewed for a second season and it got the same ratings as TBD and is the lowest rated show on NBC. Therefore if they can give 30 Rock a chance they should give TBD a chance.

cute poison 04-06-2007 07:48 AM

I sent some e-mails, and I'll get around to calling later today.

I can't believe this. :[

HalesNLuke 04-06-2007 08:49 AM

good idea opening this thread! I have confidence that we can save our show guys! we just have to do everything we can!

beautifuldisasterx 04-06-2007 09:06 AM

At first, they were going to air the rest of the season, but effective, I believe, next week, they're just shutting us down completely and shoving the rest of the episodes onto NBC.com and ITunes.
I was really upset yesterday and I'm still really upset.

HalesNLuke 04-06-2007 09:30 AM

I know i'm really upset too... I wish they would just air the rest of the season in a different timeslot... b/c maybe in a new timeslot the ratings would get better and they would decide to keep it on.. I think it's really stupid of NBC not to even try that...

Here's what I said when I called Victoria Brody:

Hello Ms. Brody. My name is Rachel, and yes, I’m one of those annoying die-hard Black Donnellys fans. Please hear me out. It’s amazing that there’s so many of us after only seven episodes, isn’t there? Well, maybe if you gave our show a chance, there could be even more of us. Thousands of people have been joining together to save The Black Donnellys and as great as this little coming together is, it will bring us nothing unless you help us save our show. Yes, the ratings aren’t the most amazing. But Nielsen ratings aren’t the most accurate for the age group that I believe The Black Donnellys was targeting. I also think that the advertising for this show was not sufficient. I would not have known about it if I weren’t an Olivia Wilde fan. If I hadn’t stumbled upon it on one of her websites and decided it was interesting. You took a group of very talented actors that most people didn’t know about and put them on a show. You didn’t advertise well for it, and then you expected it to do well in the ratings. How is that at all possible? Please reconsider this. We Black Donnellys fans are completely committed to our cause. Paul Haggis, Bobby Moresco, Jonathan Tucker, Olivia Wilde, Tom Guiry, Billy Lush, Michael Stahl-David, and many others worked way too hard for you to not show at least the rest of the season. Even if it is on a different day in a different timeslot. By the way, the timeslot wasn’t the most amazing either. You put it against CSI, which has been around forever and already has a solid fan base. I’m not going to continue to put down your advertising methods or choices for this show, because that is all in the past. You can’t fix that. What’s done is done. What you can fix is the future of this show. You can give this show a future. Please help us. Thank you.

TBD was on at the same time as CSI. CSI has a very established fan base. Oy vey! I can't take this stupid crap anymore. I just want my show on.

krystafitzpatrick8 04-06-2007 10:46 AM

man, it's cancelled? why does nbc cancel it's best drama's? first american dreams, and now the best donnelly's. do people not enjoy watching well written, well acted television shows anymore? this is bull*****.

Xbel 04-06-2007 10:51 AM

Will someone make "Save TBD" avis? :flowers:

brathanfan27 04-06-2007 10:51 AM

I signed the petition and Im going to email Victoria later. :D

krystafitzpatrick8 04-06-2007 10:56 AM

I just sent some e-mails and signed all the petitions. I will continue to e-mail ms. brody....nbc needs to stop taking my favorite shows from me. give me back american dreams too! lol

Xbel 04-06-2007 11:08 AM

This is as good as it gets with my icon abilities (I just edited a blank black pic, as I don't have a program to make them) - but it's better than nothing, right? Feel free to add it to the opening if you want. :) http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r...in/Dblank1.gif

I hope someone will make proper ones. :P

HereYouMe 04-06-2007 11:36 AM

I want to do anything and everything I can do but I'm worried it maybe too late.
