Keith Nobbs narrates and stars in NBC’s new drama “The Black Donnellys” as “Joey Ice Cream,” a fast-talking Irish-American weasel who was born and raised on the mean streets of New York City. A pathological liar, he always tags along behind the Donnelly brothers, though none of them ever trust him.

Nobbs has guest starred on NBC’s “Law & Order” and “Law & Order: Criminal Intent,” and had guest stints on the award-winning series “The Sopranos” and “New York Undercover.”

A graduate of the prestigious High School for the Performing Arts in New York City, Nobbs has starred in “The Lion in Winter” on Broadway and in more than 10 off-Broadway productions. His feature-film credits include Spike Lee’s “25th Hour” with Edward Norton and Joel Schumacher’s “Phone Booth” with Colin Farrell. His next feature film is “In Search Of.”

Where did his nickname come from?
The reason he gives for his nickname is "Under pressure, I'm like ice."
Yet in a childhood flashback you see for yourself, it's really because, well, he likes ice cream.

oh, i love joey ice cream, i even named the cricket i had to room with on my retreat after him. probably because he was a wee bit annoying at times, but still.

Yay! I love Joey, too. I use to mess with everybody on TBD thread about whether they liked him or not. I would even ask them questions about him. You know, to make sure they know a little something about him. :lol:

I know! When I seen the message about the boards added, I freaked out! haha

I thought we were going to have to wait so much later for the board. I was willing to stay up until whenever time for it, too. That's how much I love TBD and Joey.
