| Yeah, I agree. And the worst part is that I'm sure with more promotion it maybe even could be a hit in the first week. I mean it's an amazing album. | But I really don't understand. She didn't do anything to make them hate her! Seriously, how pathetic can you get. Hating someone you don't know? I only know 1 explanation. They are sooo jealous of her. I mean why else whould you spend so much time on her. If you do, you obviously care. if you hate someone you should not care, right? | ^I think the haters think of Vanessa like a cockroach...no matter how many times you try to kill one they just keep on coming back. I think they thought that once her scandal happened her career was going to be ruined and Zac would leave her. But she ends up getting more fame and Disney not only keeps her but they give her a big part in the movie. I really think Vanessa is stuck between a rock and a hard place. She can't talk about the scandal because of Disney but by not talking about it, it allows rumors to become bigger and more crazy and it hurts her reputation. My guess is that her ex leaked the pics which I'm sure a lot of people (even the haters) could feel sympathy for but she can't talk about it so now people think she just took some nude pics of herself and gives them out to random guys that are not her boyfriend to make them jealous...People magazine started that one. And she plays an "good girl" in the HSM3 movies and she has to keep up this good girl attitude for Disney and not talk about the scandal but people look at her like she is a hypocrite. | couldn't agree with you more Erin.. i really have nothing to input on, you've made valid points.. what i was trying to get at earlier is that even some haters can be reasonable && appreciate the album for what it is - a good album.. | I agree with Erin too. You are so on the spot with the cockroach thing. I think the biggest sort of hate comes from the feeling that despite her scandal, she's got it all, Zac, looks, recognition, loyal fanbase etc. and she didn't get to 'pay' for it. Ashley fans are not happy because they think that because she's with Zac, she's getting recognition that belongs to Ashley. Nikki fans can't stand the fact that Zac is still with her and their fame and solidity as a couple is now mainstream. A lot of hate also comes from fans of other disney stars including adults(which is funny). Vanessa wasn't a regular disney star before hsm, I think they feel that she is an imposter who came from nowhere, stole their golden boy and rose to undeserved fame that belong to their princesses. For these people, taiking about the scandal would not help, they'll label it publicity. They're determined to hate her and they would. Their crucifxion is based on the fact that she took the pictures at all, nevermind who it was meant for. I think she's got some respect from adult quarters for not exploiting the scandal for sympathy or fame and I'm glad she's not talking about it now. Some of her fans even have a love/hate relationship with her. one minute she's gorgeous and the next minute, she's conceited and feels too cool for school. They can't stay away from her forums and would gush about her but still feel the need to lash out at her in some way. I really don't get it. The album sales sucks but unfortunately for the haters, they'll still get a whole load of Vanessa this summer as her tours, Sears campaign, possible single release, events attendance with Zac and HSM 3 promo will keep her in the news, the low debut of her album will not be enough to comfort them. | |||
