"OPERATION HACKERAZZI" FBI Makes Arrest in Celeb Phone-Hack
Quote:
The FBI has arrested one person suspected of hacking into the phones of Hollywood stars like Scarlett Johansson and Vanessa Hudgens ... and leaking private photos. And, we've learned, the FBI is convinced the guy is a lone wolf, who never got a cent for the pictures he stole ... he just did it for the thrill.

Law enforcement sources tell us the man is from Florida, and the FBI has known about him for several months, but the U.S. Attorney didn't take action until now.

Our sources say the man hacked into numerous celebrity phones and then distributed the ill-gotten photos to third parties, never asking for any money. He did it because he got a charge out of it.

The FBI says the investigation was dubbed, "Operation Hackerazzi."

So far, the identity of the suspect has not been released.

Among the stars who claim they were victimized by the hacker -- Ali Larter, Jessica Alba and Emma Caulfield.

Vanessa Hudgens Starting her own clothing line!
Quote:
Vanessa Hudgens is adding designer to her résumé.

The stylish actress and singer tells me she's already working on her very own clothing line.

"I'm in the process," she told me last night while hosting PopChips' Playland party for Fashion's Night Out. "We're still figuring it out, but it's definitely in the works!"

So what will her collection feature?

"Street chic, bohemian and wearable," she dished. Can't wait to check it out!

In the meantime, she's looking forward to seeing other designer's shows and hanging with her friends during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. "I'm going to a fashion show tomorrow where they bring in a bunch of different Korean designers and showcase all of them, so I think that's going to be really interesting," Vanessa shared.

Toronto: Vanessa Hudgens Set For ‘The Frozen Ground’ – Deadline.com
Quote:
EXCLUSIVE: In a departure from her High School Musical past, Vanessa Hudgens has been set to star alongside Nicolas Cage and John Cusack in Frozen Ground, the Emmett/Furla Films thriller that is being sold here in Toronto, with Voltage Pictures handling international sales. The film, which will begin shooting October 17 in Anchorage, Alaska, marks the feature directing debut of Scott Walker, who wrote the script.

Pic is based on true events surrounding Alaska’s most notorious serial predator, Robert Hansen. Cusack is playing Hansen, regarded in the community as a respected family man. In the span of 12 years, he abducted more than 24 women, flew them into the Alaskan wilderness, and hunted and murdered them. Hudgens will play the one teenage victim who escaped. When she returned to tell her story, nobody believed her. Cage will play the Alaskan State Trooper who finds her on the street. Together they work to bring Hansen to justice.

Frozen Ground is being produced by Randall Emmett and George Furla, along with Amber Entertainment’s Jane Fleming and Mark Ordesky. Envision Entertainment’s Stephan Martirosyan and Remington Chase, and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson and executive producers. Emmett/Furla Films this weekend set a $250 million film find with Envision Entertainment. Hudgens is repped by CAA.
Spring Breakers
Starlets join James Franco in 'Spring Breakers'
Quote:
Harmony Korine has set his next project with "Spring Breakers," the story of four college girls who rob a restaurant to afford their trip to the beach with James Franco attached and Emma Roberts, Vanessa Hudgens and Selena Gomez in talks to star.

Should Hudgens' and Gomez's deals close, the risque, avant garde material for which Korine is known would be a change of pace from the safe Disney Channel fare that launched them to stardom. It'll also be a dark turn for Franco, who's coming off Disney's "Oz: The Great and Powerful."

Korine, whose last film was "Trash Humpers," is best known for scripting Larry Clark's "Kids," as well as both writing and directing "Gummo" and "Mister Lonely." He'll both write and direct "Spring Breakers."

Roberts would play a Southern brunette who feeds off danger, while Gomez would play a religious girl who isn't a thrill-seeker like the rest of the group, which includes Hudgens. Franco will co-star as Alien, a rapping drug and arms dealer who bails them out of jail and entices them to kill his arch-rival.

MJZ prexy David Zander will produce with Chris Hanley of MUSE Prods., as well as Charles-Marie Anthonioz ("Trash Humpers") and Jordan Gertner. Production will take place during spring break in Florida.

Franco, who most recently toplined "Rise of the Planet of the Apes," will soon be seen in a trio of indies -- "Maladies" with Catherine Keener, "The Stare" with Winona Ryder and "Cherry" with Heather Graham. Franco, who's currently prepping several passion projects as a multi-hyphenate, is also expected to co-star in Seth Rogen's directorial debut "The Apocalypse."

Roberts, who's coming off a starring turn in "Scream 4," recently wrapped a supporting role in Lee Toland Krieger's indie dramedy "Celeste and Jesse Forever."

Hudgens, who recently starred in "Sucker Punch" and "Beastly," is currently filming the serial killer thriller "Frozen Ground" with John Cusack and Nicolas Cage. Thesp next stars in New Line's "Journey 2: The Mysterious Island" and Ron Krauss' indie "Gimme Shelter."

Coming off "Monte Carlo," Gomez is attached to star in "Hot Mess" and will soon be seen in Disney's "The Muppets."

CAA packaged the project, as the agency reps Korine, Franco, Roberts, Hudgens and Gomez. Franco, Roberts and Hudgens are respectively managed by Miles Levy of James/Levy Management, David Sweeney of Sweeney Entertainment and Evan Hainey of Untitled Entertainment. Hudgens and Gomez are also repped by attorney Stephen Espinoza.

I think a lot depends on who this 4th girl is - if it is turns out to be another well known starlet that's great - if turns out to be another starlet with heavy disney connections then that might not be not a great thing - we shall see.

As for V she goes after great roles that move her and she'll be great no matter what. I just wanted a little bit more time for her without any Disney associations.
At this point in V's career, it's not like she has the kind of power where she can dissuade anyone from choosing a certain actor to play along side her. If it happens, it happens. If the girls in the movie do well, it'll just emphasize just how far both the girls have come from their Disney days.

There are a few girls who I would like to see as the 4th girl, but if it turns out to be someone like Lucy Hale (since ABCFamily is Disney), Miley Cyrus, or Miranda Cosgrove (she's Nick, but that doesn't help) -- just as an example -- then that will be pretty bad.
As long as they're not stupid and don't pull a Summit move, I think we'll be safe. It'll be hard to get a Disney angle about this movie though, given what the plot line is like. It's not anything like Disney.

and I agree, robbing a bank to get money for spring break would be very very difficult to make like a Disney movie

I’m so excited about her new movie!

I’ve always wanted her to work with James Franco so when I saw him attached to the project it made me even more excited. I really think we should just give Selena a chance to prove that she’s not just mediocre actress. I haven’t seen much of her work, but I’ve seen her on Wizards of Waverly, and she does a pretty good job. I can’t really say I’m sure about Emma, I can’t recall watching any of her projects, but she should have a chance to prove herself. They’re both going through the same thing as V right now, trying to gain some recognition and break out from the whole Disney image.

Same here! If Emma was cast, I would

Anyway, I’m REALLY excited about this project! Especially the fact that she’s working with James Franco!

GO V!

I can see the 4th girl being Lily Collins actually.

I'll be honest...the HSM movies do not make V look like the best actress even though I though she had a lot of potential. Disney has a habit of making some actors/actresses that are talented look really bad even though they are not. I think Selena is talented but I don't think she has done a movie where she can express that talent yet. Unforunately, Vanessa and Selena both got their big breaks from Disney (Emma from Nick) so people will automatically think "this is another stupid movie marketed at tweens". But if you look at the director and add in the James Franco factor and I think a lot of people will be very shocked when they see the actual movie. Another key thing will be marketing...if I were them, I don't think I would even use the actors/actresses names. Just market the movie/story as it is and try to get away from the Disney/Nick cheese factor.

PS: I was wrong about Emma's agent...her agent is Rick Kurtzman. He also handles Christina Applegate, Daniel Craig, Jamie Lee Curtis and Sarah Silverman.

I don't think I would mind Lily being the fourth girl.

I haven't seen her in that much, but what I've seen of her I don't mind. Though I can't say that I've seen her movie with Taylor Lautner. I was reading this article the other day on THR. They've listed 35 men and women under 35ys who they believe are going to be the industry's future leaders, and Lily was listed as one of the few actresses on that list.

Despite her lack of experience, she seems to be getting some really decent rolls. Either Nick is an amazing agent, or she really does have the skills.

Lily got really lucky b/c her first movie right off the bat had Oscar buzz and Sandra won an Oscar for her portrayl in that movie. I do think Lily is talented but she is also really lucky right now. Right now there is really no one else in her age group that can play some of the parts she does IMO. There are other actresses that are talented but they either look a tad too old or a tad too young.

Plus I think Nick is a fairly good agent, V has been working pretty often since she signed to him and I haven't really hated any of the roles they have gotten together. I'm still hoping that V is connected to a Marvel property that films in 2012/2013 sometime though. I found the Captain America apperance kind of odd considering that there was a fashion thing that same night that a lot of starlets attended...plus V was pretty high up on the "guest list"...higher than some in Marvel properties.

PS: Part of me hopes that V is James' love interest. If audiences/critics think V looks "right" and has chemistry next to an actor in his late 20s then that will really help V. Looking too young opposite another actor can hurt her chances at some roles. I'm sick of her hooking up young looking actors in movies...give her someone in their late 20s.

I was wondering who was James then "light bulb", James Franco. LOL. Anyway, I was thinking about that the other day. If she was James Franco's love interest, I would be really really really happy. So far, she is the oldest of the group, (will be 23). How old is James? Is he 29, 30, 31? He has to be linked to someone in the movie.

I want to add that I think "maybe" that her hair cut has given her a more mature look which could have helped her nab some of her roles this past year. She looks less Gabriella and more older....although I personally like her hair longer.

^IA. V has kind of young looking face anyways and long hair makes her look even younger. The older I've gotten, I've notice that more and more women are getting rid of the really long hair. Shoulder length and shorter seems to be the way most women go.
