[Less Than Perfect]

For all those new to the fanfiction scene, below is a list of stories that are considered to be of high quality and “must reads” to start you off on your journey through the wonderful land of fanfiction.

The list is broken up into the relevant categories, and then further broken up into groups depending on whether the story has been completed, in the process of being written (and the frequency of updates/last time updated), or just oneshots.

I would like to point out a few things about the following list of stories.

1. All stories below are there because we think they are of high quality and are ones you should definitely check out. Regardless of how old the story is or how frequently the story is updated; they’re all good stories, so don’t just skip over all the stories that aren’t frequently updated, because I promise that you will be missing out on an amazing story. We wouldn't have listed the story if it wasn't.
2. Several of the stories have a strike through them. This means that at the current time the story is unavailable to be read, but will be up again at some point.
3. Whilst the list below is quite extensive, that does not mean that it contains every single high quality, “must read” story out there. You might find that you favour different writing styles to the ones listed below, in which case I’d suggest that the best way to find other stories you might like is to check out the favourite authors and stories listed by the authors that you do like. There are other ways of finding good stories, so don’t think that just because the story isn’t listed below, that it isn’t a good story.
4. Some of the stories that were previously listed in the opening post (OP) have been deleted because they no longer existed on the server they had been posted on, or led to an inconclusive place (i.e. FanFiction.Net deleted the story, it led to a locked LiveJournal page, so on and so forth). No offense is made to be taken from the deletion. If you remember a story that was previously listed and have seen posted it elsewhere, share it with the thread, and further steps can be taken from there.

It’s so weird seeing Kelsi as a sex addict I laughed a little because I hadn’t even thought about him getting condoms either because of the whole super power thing. Atta girl for being responsible. The cheerleader needs to go… now

For them finally doing it together because they love each other. I’m on edge to see how Gabriella’s bite mark is gonna turn out and if she’ll be scared to do it with him again or if that was a good scream. Poor girl for not being able to keep up with Troy’s super speed.
And For Troy not being able to play basketball anymore

Despite the lies, the betrayals, the cougars and the cheating, I had the biggest smile on my face when Troy gave Gabriella his shirt.

I like how she’s drawing opposites from the growing love of Gabriella and Troy verses how the other couples are falling apart. Not too sure how happy I was that Kelsi slept with a fourteen year old, but I have to keep reminding myself they're only sixteen. Jason’s cougar affair is a definite twist that I wasn’t expecting, but an interesting twist. I’m not sure yet if I want him and Kelsi to work it out now or if she should find someone else.

This Troy and Brie make me so happy. I just want to kiss them because they’re so adorable

Uh oh, Troy’s in trouble now.

I like how the central downfall of these characters is lies. All of them have been affected, maybe except for Taylor and Chad, by one lie or another. I’m really eager and nervous to see how this all plays out and how Troy explains himself.

Apart from the picture, this chapters was all full of Troy and Gabi adorableness. I hope it comes back

Every time I read this story I’m shocked at how well her writing has developed.

I really, REALLY sympathize with Troy here. He still loves Gabriella, so much but she’s too proud to admit she ‘s still in love with him. Obviously she is – everyone can see it. I sort of want to knock her head in and point to Troy with one of her paintbrushes so she realizes it. Troy loves her for who she is, Josh loves her for who she wants to be. It’s a tough situation, but I want her to see Troy is where her heart really lies.

I love that this Troy knows and is okay with the fact that he's been whipped since the age of 17.

I kinda like that Chad found out about Gabi being pregnant before everyone else, though I do wonder at his ability to keep it a secret. I also laughed at the whole "we'll have a boy and you'll have a boy and they'll be Chad and Troy 2.0" fantasy.

Troy and Gabi got a little taste of empty nest syndrome here - I do wonder what they're gonna do with the kids leave. It's gonna be quite the change for them.

I was glad the septuplets decided to make it to dinner (though I had to wonder how most of them got to the restaurant, or anywhere in that chapter for that matter considering none of them or their friends with the exception of the Baylor girls are old enough to drive ). They made TG's day just showing up!

Summertime Games

Uh oh, wonder how Troy's gonna explain holding on to that picture. Even though it he kept it from her, I still don't think his lie is on the Austin scale, so I'm hoping she'll at least give him a chance to explain.

The whole Jason/Miss Kemper thing totally gives me a Pacey/whatever that teacher's name was vibe from Dawson's Creek.

And I loved Kelly's observation about how lies are undermining everyone's relationship. You gotta wonder who is going to have the strength to stick it out once all truths are revealed...

No! Ranking Austin and Troy is so unfair. From what we know, I'd hardly consider them to be in the same league. I really do hope she gives him a chance to explain, because the rest of this chapter was just them being far too adorable for words, and I'll be upset if that doesn't continue.

Jason/Miss Kemper makes me uncomfortable. It's just not cool of Jason to have issues with Luke looking at Kelsi when he's off doing other things with someone else. He was the one that moved on first.

I don't know Mel. She may like him, but I feel like a lot of the things she's doing are accidental. I don't think she really knows the effect she has on him.

The Troy in this one bothers me though, he's far too smooth for his own good. It comes across very arrogant and I hate that. And it bothers me even more that Gabriella is content with letting him use her for a bet, in exchange for him teaching her things. With the way this Troy sounds, she really should be careful. He sounds like the type that would have something up his sleeve.
