The problem with a lot of movies is that they don't generally announce the casts until they get close to filming. That doesn't mean that these movies haven't started casting, it just means that we don't know about it. WB has tons of movies in development and sometimes they get really close to the filming stage and then they get pushed back. I still do think that Vanessa is attached to something at WB. I have a hard time believing that a WB higher up would compliment her and then not think "Hey, she would be great for a role in this other movie we have in development." Plus she headed straight to WB on a Friday morning after catching a 6 AM flight during the middle of SP filming.

For example there is a WB movie that I want Vanessa in (Jack the Giant Killer which is also a Legendary Pictures movie just like SP is) that was supposed to start filming this summer (so casting would have been early in the new year) but due to the fact that the director wants to film in 3D, the movie got pushed back to a February 2011 start date. Now lets say that Vanessa is attached to star in this movie (no clue if she is...but lets just speculate). She has the option of choosing to wait for filming to start or she could just say I can't wait and leave the project.

It's obvious to me that Vanessa probably wants to film something soon. She is usually busy with work when Zac is busy with work. Plus it looks like she at least auditioned or considered auditioning for Premium Rush which started filming last month. There are tons of movies that are still going to film before the end of the year, so lets hope that Vanessa is going to star in one of them.

A man on twitter spotted her waiting at a casting office with Eliza and "the girl with the dragon tattoo" (I think it was Noomi instead of Rommy).

According to collider, Noomi had meetings this past Monday (August 16th, the day of the tweet) with McG, Joe Roth (Freedomland), Brett Ratner and Ridley Scott, as well as producers Avi Arad and Di Bonaventura Pictures, production execs Marc Evans at Parmamount and Greg Silverman at Warner Bros.

Since Vanessa was most likely sitting close to Noomi, it is safe to say that she was probably meeting with one of the same people that Noomi was seeing. I doubt they were trying out for the same role but they most likely had a person in common that they were seeing.

I agree with Erin. I think what we have to remember as well is that a lot of the information about 'so and so is interested in this' or 'this person is in talks about that' comes from the star's on people who likes to keep their client's name out there and will literally link them to every script they've ever read. V's people aren't like that and she was virtually enroute to film Bandslam when we found out about that. SP was a bit different because of the sheer scale of the project (Zack's first original, all female, 'Gabriella from HSM' as an action hero' etc etc) so we heard about that earlier that we perhaps normally would have. Just because we don't hear anything doesn't mean she's sitting on her hands or anything like that.

We'll see but I definitely still think she's probably got something cooking with WB. Jack the Giant Killer would be amazing (who do I have to beg for that to happen?) but if not that I really think it will be something else. I would just like to hear something (anything!) soon.

i would love for her to be in Jack...i've thought a lot about that as a good role for her. I dreamed about thatmonths ago Even think we talked about it in dream roles.... or somewhere

there are some good things filming this fall and early next year...please let her be attached to one of those.
