Its a long complicated story. Basically....he's a friend from high school. Hadnt talked in a few years. We reconnected. He's got a girlfriend but things arent going too well and he has expressed an interest in me (which I feel TOTALLY guilty about cuz he has a gf right now). He liked me in high school but at the time I had a boyfriend. We text each other quite often, though I leave it up to him to start the convo and dont text him first. We've recently started talking on the actual phone. Nothing bad. Just the usual friends chat. He's in the military and is leaving to go overseas very soon. He has said he'd like to see where we're both at in the next year but I'm like...what about the gf you currently have?!!! I just....ugh! Seriously! Why cant I find me a man who is uncomplicated?!

^ Eeeep, sounds like a lot of baggage.
 My not-so-experienced advice: Flat out tell him your concerns and if he hedges about the GF, don't go any farther. As much as we want to believe that guys and girls can be just friends, it sounds like he's fishing for more. Only keep him on the line if he's free and clear. Otherwise you'll always wonder and feel guilty about it.  __________________

It IS a lot of baggage. And he's definitely fishing for more but I put a quick hold on that once I figured that out. He and I have talked and he knows where I stand and that I wont ever compromise my values or beliefs for some guy. And that I wont ever be someones "2nd". I just wish it werent so complicated ya know? You ever read or seen Twilight? I joke with my friend that this guy is "The Jacob to my Edward".

BUT Brad's new song came out, its givng me art inspiration cause he wrote a really romatical one about his wife. Carrie's duet with Randy came out. And there's this cool song free on itunes that Taylor conincidentally used in her latest myspace vlog. |
