I was not impressed! And then all the interruptions in HSM2 made the wait even more agonizing.

It sucked, but at the same time that lingering moment when you know it would've happened anyway is sweet and very much in line with how the two were the whole movie.

That's the reason why it couldn't have been their first kiss.

That said, no one ever says it's their first kiss. It's just their first kiss we see and just shows that they got interrupted a lot.

They also nearly kissed in school surrounded by people. I dont think they'd go for that location for their first kiss
