I love "Ask Me How I Am" lyrics.
Has nobody asked you how you are? You look like you might not last the day I wouldn't have made it very far So we'd make a good team right away I've not made amends for yesterday My lip won't get me out of it Waking up dreading hearing tales It's such a sad song. Seems like the guy in it really wants to make amends for what he's done. He's addicted to drink and drugs and doesn't want to be. All he wants is for someone to look up and notice him and give him a reason to quit! It would make you think.... __________________

^It's so easy to discuss the lyrics because they are all so beautiful and deep. I love hearing you guys' opinions on them too. I didn't have any idea what "Set the Fire to The Third Bar" lyrics until I came onto this board. So insightful
Anyways, back to more poetic genius! Every single word in On/Off is perfection so it's hard to pick just one section. Love these lines though... I didn't mean to hurt you so much I knew it would hurt you but not like this We all make a mess from time to time, dear But it'll take me a lifetime to get this cleared It's not often that you hear songs about being the cheater in a relationship and I love the fact that these lyrics aren't begging for forgiveness, but instead, you can feel the remorse instead of it being shown to you. I just love the originality of their style and song-writing technique. __________________

Woah, so many great lyrics brought up here!
Snow Patrol's lyrics are some of the best I've ever read, and it's great to be able to discuss them with you all in here. "On/Off" has lyrics that make me really understand what that person's going through... For once nothing's missing and I feel fine I was afraid to tell you some things But some things all find a way to get told "Signal Fire" is just so beautiful... I could be stuck here for a thousand years Without your arms to drag me out "You Could Be Happy" always touches my heart...so sad... I love the imagery in "An Olive Grove Facing the Sea"
The blind lead the blind so why can't I find my way This could be heaven but I don't know where I am I am too scared to come out from behind here My body is aching it feels like it's wearing me That last line is just so striking. I love it... __________________
