Jen, thanks for starting up the Aussie thread.

I've heard that Snow Patrol have a huge following there.

I can think of at least one poster here, besides you, who lives in Australia...

Yeah, i believe there is a good popularity here in Australia. I think they may have done a promo tour last year.

Yeah, I think they only performed in Sydney and Melbourne, as far as AUS goes.

Certainly a national tour would do well in Australia...there are many large cities with plenty of SP fans, I'm sure.

No prob, Jen. Australian SP fans must be thrilled!

Yeah, I've heard on numerous occasions how much they like to visit Australia. They've said that Aussies have a similar sense of humour as the Irish, except not as depressing, or something to that effect.

I'll post the tour dates and venues on this thread, too...

Sydney Acer Arena (September 7)
Newcastle Entertainment Centre (8)
Canberra AIS Arena (10)
Adelaide Entertainment Centre (12)
Melbourne Rod Laver Arena (17)
Brisbane Entertainment Centre (19)
Perth Burswood Dome (22)

I'm going!! I bought pre sale tickets today. I'm so excited!!

They came to Perth earlier this year and the reviews were like the best ever, saying it was one of the most magical concerts ever and they will never be the same cause now they will only play arenas.. I missed out last time, not going to miss out this time..

Nat, welcome to the Snow Patrol board!

I'm happy for you! It's great that you'll get to catch their concert this time around!

That last concert in Perth must have been incredible!

I've been neglecting our SP board for awhile (blame Sigur Ros and my T7S obsession). But since 'Make This Go On Forever' was on Grey's Anatomy I seem to be in love with them again .

I don't think I'll be able to go to their concert this time . I have exams around that time and I don't really want to buy tickets without knowing whether I can go or not. I much prefer the smaller venues like we had in February anyway. Rod Laver Arena is a little big for my liking.

Wow, an outdoor concert would be so amazing.

No problem, Nat! Make yourself at home.

Rhiannon, it's good to hear from you again.

Aww, too bad you won't be going! Although I do understand your thinking when it comes to venue size. I've only seen them once, in a huge arena, which was oh so good, but I can imagine how cool a smaller venue would be.
