Kandyse McClure/Anastasia Dualla Appreciation Thread #1

Welcome to the Kandyse/Dee Appreciation Thread

Quote:
I gotta say, Foxfire's pretty much the queen of this episode. I like the writer's take on the character, but the acting is really, really complex and beautiful. Brittle, angry, forthright, dedicated to duty, strong, funny and willing to fight for her family. Hooray for Kandyse McClure, or the billion other ways you can spell her name. So talented, so lovely and real.

You can not have this thread without me. Dee is such an amazing character, she has to my favorite woman, and the most beautiful on the show. She doesn't get enough screen time though. I'd like to see more about Dee and her responsiblities like we did with Helo in the last episode.

Kandyse is so beautiful and a great actress. I remember watching her play Kat on Higher Ground. One of my favorite shows of all time. I also saw her in an episode of the Outer Limits, it was about school violence.

Looks like Kandyse has a new film coming up:
Quote:
In brief: Sci-fi stars to take leads in Stephen King remake
Plus: Sean Astin to star in Demoted, and Forgetting Sarah Marshall lead to take voice role in new robot animation

David Anders and Kandyse McClure have been hired to star in the forthcoming remake of Stephen King's Children of the Corn, according to Beyond Hollywood. The film, like the 1984 original, will centre on a young couple who wander into a mid-western town where all the adults seem to be dead and the children worship an evil force based in the nearby corn fields. Anders, who plays Adam Monroe in TV series Heroes, and McClure, who stars as Anastasia Dualla in the new Battlestar Galactica, will take the roles made famous by Linda Hamilton and Peter Horton in the original film.

Thanks for the heads up Nad

I really like David Anders, the storyline sounds interesting, so it might be worth checking out

I'll most likely check it out for them because I'm not into horror generally

Hoping so, she was very much left out in 4.0, which was a bit of a shame, liked to have seen how she is dealing with her split from Lee

Although so much was going on, I can understand why it was dropped.

Dee will have a big storyline coming up in 4.5 Jamie said so himself, although it wasn't clear beyond that. My guess is, she could be a dark horse pick for the last cylon!
