MiniSeries/Season One Moments





Baltar: "So now you're telling me, um, now you're telling me you're a machine?"
Number Six: "I'm a woman."
Baltar: "You're a machine. You're a synthetic woman, a robot."
Number Six: "I've said it three times now."
Baltar: "Well, forgive me, I'm having the tiniest little bit of trouble believing that because the last time anybody saw the Cylons
they looked more like walking chrome toasters."
Number Six: "Those models are still around. They have their use"

Number Six: "What are you doing?"
Baltar: "Phoning my attorney."
Number Six:2 That won't be necessary."
Baltar: "Nah, he'll know what to do. He'll sort this out. He's the best in the business."
Number Six: "It won't be necessary because in a few hours no one will be left to charge you with anything."
Baltar: "What exactly are you saying?"
Number Six: "Humanity's children are returning home. Today."
(a nuclear detonation flares in the distance)

Head Six: "Procreation is one of God's commandments.
Baltar: "Really? Well, I'm sure someday if you're a good Cylon, he'll reward you with a lovely little walking toaster of your very own."

Season Two Moments




Head Six: (Baltar has just shot and killed Lt. Crashdown) "Now you're a man.
Head Six: "I'm so proud of you, Gaius."
Baltar: "Why? Because I've taken a life?"
Head Six:2 It makes you human."
Baltar: "Is it? Not conscious thought? Not poetry, or art, or music, literature? Murder. Murder is my heritage. Is that the lesson I'm supposed to pass on to our child?"

Number Six: "Feeling scared, Gaius? Want the big, bad soldiers to protect you from the mean old Cylon prisoner?"
Baltar: "No, I think we'll be just fine. Thank you."
(the Cylon Prisoner is shackled to the floor)
Number Six: "Oh, my God."
(the Cylon comes into full view)
Head Six: "My God, Gaius, it's me! Look at what they've done to her!"
Baltar: "Open the door, now, please."
Computer Voice: ID confirmed. Lieutenant Thorne.
(the door opens and Baltar instantly covers his face with a handkerchief)
Baltar: (Baltar examines the other Number Six: she is in a catatonic state) "She must have struggled. She must have fought back."
HeadSix: (crying) "That doesn't justify this!"
Baltar: "My name is Gaius Baltar and I am here to help you."
(S2 E10 'Pegasus')






Six: "You seem very content."
Baltar: "Sharon's child is safe. Adama and Roslin have agreed that more study is required before any drastic measures are taken."
Six: "Yes, but by saving Roslin, you've denied yourself your rightful place of leadership. There are many aspects of you, Gaius, I will never understand."
Baltar: "You wouldn't. Neither, would I suspect, your corporeal counterpart."
Six: "Do you love her?"
(He ignores her.)
Six: "What is that?"
Baltar: "The letter Roslin wrote me. To be opened upon the event of her death."
Six: "President Baltar. I offer my sincere congratulations--"
Baltar: "Thank you."
Six: "I say that knowing we've had our differences and that you take office despite my many reservations. You may be the most brilliant person I've ever met, but your intelligence is unleavened by compassion. You must be reminded of your ethical responsibilities and challenged to rise above your own selfish needs. I don't write this to hurt you, but to beg you to open your heart. Understand that the people in the fleet look to you not just for leadership, but for solace... justice. Find a way to give them that, and you will be a great leader. Laura Roslin."
Baltar: "After all I've done for the fleet. After all I've done for her."
Six: "Roslin's never trusted you. She's undermined you at every turn, and now--"
Baltar: So now we know she's never gonna trust me.
Six: "This is not a political struggle anymore, Gaius.This is quite literally life and death."

Six: "I know it's hard to believe right now, but if you have faith, everything will turn out exactly as it should."
Baltar: "I don't like to lose."
Six: "Have faith."
Baltar: "I am about to face public humiliation. And you are singing the same old song. I'm a little tired of the melody."

Season Three Moments



(Baltar wakes to see a Six staring sadly down at him.)
Six: "Whatever feelings I had for you have to stop. I allowed my feelings to cloud my judgment. I protected you. I gave your species a second chance. I even turned against a sister Cylon and for WHAT? I'm Cylon, Gaius. Somehow I lost sight of that."
Baltar (stands): "You are much, much more than a machine. You're a person. A real person. A woman. And you're in love with me. And it hurts. I know it hurts. (Crying.) But believe me, I am the only one that can make it better. Don't you see? I am the only one."
Six: "No, this has to end." (She walks to the door.)
Baltar: "You need me. You need me! Admit it! Admit that you need me." (Centurions block him from following.)
Baltar: "And I need you too! Did you hear me? I need you too. (To himself, turning away) Maybe I should've started with that."
(S3 E5 'Collaborators')



Baltar: "Good to see you. I far prefer these picturesque settings for little our interludes, don't you? I thought you had abandoned me to your Cylon comrades."
Head Six: (archly) "Would I do that?"
Baltar: "You've always been more unpredictable than your flesh and blood counterparts."
Head Six: "A man that loves women as much as you should have learned that a long time ago."
Baltar: "I'm a slow learner."
Head Six: "Then take this period as a time to learn all you can about the Cylons. You'll need it in the days ahead."
Baltar: "Something special on the horizon?"
Head Six: "Cylon psychology is based on projection."
Baltar: "Projection?"
Head Six: "It's how they choose to see the world around them. The only difference is, you choose to see me."
Baltar: "What are you... really? (She looks away.) You're either connected to the woman I knew in Caprica ... or you're just a damaged part of my subconscious struggling for self-expression, so which one is it?"
Head Six: "I'm an angel of God sent here to help you. Just as I always have been."

Baltar: Can't believe how much I actually miss this place.
Head Six: You know you can't return. They'd toss you out the nearest airlock and then throw a party!

Head Six: "All things considered, Gaius, it could have been worse. Much worse. And well ... You're not one of the Five, you certainly have the luck of the Gods."
Baltar: "Well, I am the chosen one."
Head Six: "You didn't go tell them that, did you?"
Baltar: "Huh? No. Everybody's gotta have a secret."

Baltar: "Oh, gee, I don't know. From President of the colonies to this." King of fools. Probably best to be hated by everyone than loved by this lot. Doomed to live out the rest of my life in this loony bin. I don't know, that might have something to do with my rather savage mood swings."
Head Six: "Relax, Gaius. You think I've brought you this far just to let it end here?"
Baltar: "I need some encouragement. A ray of hope about the future. An inkling."
Head Six: "You've got me. I'm here for you. "

Number Six: (after he cut off her sexual advances) "But, I want to make you feel better."
Baltar: "Cut off my legs. I ran. Again. I disappeared in the nick of time, again."

Caprica Six: "I’m proud of you. For doing this. For being here when you could’ve just walked away.
I don’t think I’ve ever said it before, but I always wanted to be proud of you.
