Ken...That's a good list. Since we are getting less and less quality shows out there, you should have time to work on that list and get some of those "off the list".

I want to caution you that you either love or hate Dexter. It's a strange show. Distrubed. I wouldn't buy the DVD's b/c I don't plan on watching it ever again (same episodes over). I basically obtained them online and burned my own copies. (save money)

I don't think I can ever watch Firefly...took the place from my beloved Dark Angel

When the new fall season starts, you should post your TV schedule. I bet I can find one night where you're free to watch BSG, or FNL or any of those shows on the list and start catching up slacker

Sarah...If I knew what kind of TV shows you like, I'd recommend them to you, or not

Why don't you give us a list of your favorites?

I'm pretty sure you'd like Alias, esp. the first 3 seasons. If you ever get a chance to watch them, do it. (in order, b/c it's extremely confusing the other way around)

Not sure if this helps...but my favorite show (drama) of all time is "Rome". It was an HBO show (I'm a big fan of all things ancient and historical to begin with, Greek and Roman) but that show was so much more. An all european cast, filmed and produced in Italy. Amazing production, sound, costumes, writting. It's my all time favorite show.

I am making alot of cuts this season... So, I'll be able to make some shifts. Have no fear, I will remain a loyal SV fan til the end! Despite what I felt was two back-to-back lackluster seasons.

I loved the Pilot and the first like..3 episodes, so I think I'll be okay. I might try Showtime onDemand, but my TiVo doesn't seem to connect to it...

I keep slipping with that show. I think it's too sci-fi for me. BSG I can take... but otherwise, it's out there.

Once I compile it...I'll make sure to post it. I posted it recently at the Brothers & Sisters board, and it was a mess...

---

I can never seem to get into those History shows like Rome, The Tudors, or Deadwood. They don't seem to stick. My Dad loved Rome, though. LOVED.

Uh, sorry I haven't been around here in a while. While here, do I need to convert other people to Twilight? Steph will help me!

Alex - The bodybuilder from Big Brother got voted out last night. For shame! No more eye candy on the show anymore.

Alsoooo, can you or someone help me find online where I can get a volleyball schedule for the Olympics? I can't find it anywhere.

Hope you all have a good weekend. Seahawks are playing tonight.

Really? To me that was the one show I had to watch in order I remember having marathons with the DVD's b/c I couldn't stop watching it. Esp. S1-S3. I became a fan at that point, so I watched the last 2 seasons (not quite as good) on TV as they came out. Looking back S4 was the weakest by far, and I didn't like the Alias ending so much either.

If you like history, historical events, grand historical leaders, like Gaius Julious Ceasar, Mark Anthony, Marcus Julious Brutus, Cassus, Gaius Octavian, Cleopatra, Atia (Octavians' mother), you are going to LOVE, "Rome". To me it's the best show I've ever seen, considering everything involved. You have these historical figures and events, but also characters who are fictional mixed in there. Brilliant writting. If anything, Rome was too short. But it did out on top. Only 22 episodes in all, but there isn't a single one that was "bad" or "mediocre". At the heart of it is the relationship between 2 soliders, Titus Pullo and Lucious Vorinas. The creators of "Rome" bring that time period and these historical figures to life like never before. It's simply a MUST see TV show.

Ironically, 3 of my all time fav. show on that list You and I have different taste my friend, it's alright of course.

We are expecting a B-Day weekend update on Monday!

K...I'm sure it's for the best. He needs to train and eat and live his life. Should have never been on the show to begin with. I doubt you are converting anyone to Twilight...going to see this film with you will be as far as I'm willing to ever go.

They have beach volleyball just about every night on NBC. Starts at 8pm. (taped of course I believe). The main 2 guys from the US lost in beach volleyball today...the tall bald guy you like so much, yeah that one. Shame. I think Misty and Kerry won though. They'll have indoor volleyball mixed in there as well.

I'll evenually go and watch Alias in order Because I liked what I thought. Great characters and the actors were great. I loved David Anders because he was amazing as Sark and then as Adam on Heroes

Watch it in order and Ask questions if something doesn't make sense. The big thing to remember is that their culture was so different from ours. It was before Judeo Christianity, so their religions beliefs were seperate from a lot of their moral actions/obligations. Their values were different as well, slavery was legal. Normally what the problem is when you are telling these grand stories about Ceaser and Naius Pompei, Mark Anthony, Agripa, Cassus, Brutus, Octavian, Cleopatra and others is that you only see those guys and their homes/servants. With Rome, you get to see the every day Roman Citizens, how they lived, interacted. The 2 key characters are closely assosiated with Ceaser, Mark Anthony and Octavian, so it's all mixed in very nicely. You get to see everyday life, the sets are unreal. It's the largest set ever built for a TV show, again shot on location in Italy (near Rome). They used italians for extra's (who else would make better Italians/Romans than Italians!) it adds to the richness of the show. Plus they mix in historical accuracy with their own fiction to complete the show and make it brilliantly shocking, provocative, sexy and dangerous.

Rome is the epidemy of HBO work.

I tried to watch all 3, but they didn't grab my interest at all.

Well... Friday night my friends threw me a surprise party. It was fun. We hung out and just talked and drank, and ate. Nice group of people. They got me a gag gift. I was obsessed with the movie Wall-E and wouldn't stop talking about it... so they got me a remote-controlled Wall-E. It's awesome! And my parents got me some nice clothes and stuff for my room. My sister went all/out and bought me this great framed picture of the Hollywood sign but it's with California Licensed Plates. Quite creative. They also bought me the book The Secret Which I might return. Saturday I got a chance to spend time with my friend who's getting married who doesn't live here anymore. We hung out poolside and then she took me out to dinner and then we just hung out and watched some movies. Today, my parents are taking me out to dinner to cap off my birthday weekend. It's been nice. Nothing too crazy, kinda relaxing and refreshing. And I didn't get mind-numbingly drunk.

There are some books I want to get out of the way before I invest in an 18 book series.
