My supervisor gave me a week in July off, so I at least wanted to go there for a weekend, or something. Although, I'm sure now that it's Spring Break, and even in the summer it will be extreeemely busy.

I don't live in California, but I was born there and go a couple times a year.

Why do you ask?

Are the rides all the same at Disneyworld and Disneyland...or are there different ones?

California is highly over-rated, just ask...ahh nevermind

I'd love to visit there...only place I would consider living is in the San Diego area...no LA, Sacramento, Oakland or SF.

Meanwhile...Ash are you watching S2 of the Tudors yet? First 2 episodes have been OK, not as good as last year but still better than most things on TV.

K...I saw a Return of the Jedi matted/reprint artwork posted at BB for 39.99 and I let out a "holy frak" when I saw it...and then i had to get out of there or I would have bought it. I figure Jessica is enough for now.

I am not sure. I am sure many are the same, like Small World and Pirates rides.
But I think Orlando has more parks, right? So they probably have many more rides.

Steph, do you agree, that unless you were born in NYC it's really hard to live there? I know I would have a very hard time and I've only been to the JFK airport

Steph - You're probably right...It's a lot bigger in Orlando, so I would assume they have different stuff, but a few are the same.

We have so, so many people here who are not native NYers and come to try to "make it" in fashion/entertainment/art/music/etc and some do just fine. Others not so much

I was born here. Some days I love it and never want to be anywhere else.
Others days I am pissed about the constant noise, construction, traffic, etc.
And the also that in what I chose to do I wonder if I will ever "make it."
I so don't make enough to live on my own here. I know people who count change or borrow money to make rent.

It's definitely one of those cities that regardless if you were born there or not, you go to have the will and drive to survive living in it. Otherwise, leave.

I didn't know you have been to NYC. When was it?

I love NYC! I live on Long Island so I'm not too far by train so it's always fun to go in and visit and such. Don't think I'd want to actually live there, I'm much more of a suburb person.

I like to be able to look up and see blue sky and the sun, can't do that will all the skyscrappers blocking the view in NYC. Rent is a crime. Unless my career dictated I live in a big city like that, I never would. I guess I'm more "rural" or "suburban". I just like my space, and privacy and no noise at night.

Speaking of night, here I am, working away, my 1 weekend a month at work. I hate it

Probably least pleasant part of the job. At least it's very low stress, other than having to stay awake.

Alex, yeaa. If in Manhattan and you want to see the sky, go to one of the parks.
And the noise. Heck I live in the suburbs on one of the boroughs and some nights a damn car or house alarm keeps me up, or worse wakes me up at like 4 am!
