it was one of the hottest scenes. I totally agree with that. I just wish they would leave out this once sentence and use a different line instead

and I hate that line too, although in my Maddison happy place, she didn't make any reference to other people; she just was too much into the moment to think... at all. Mark is that good

I've never heard anything about PD not liking Kate Walsh either, they seem to have fun behind the scenes in the bloopers and behind the scenes extras...

Suz - I wish they would have left out that line too then it would have been perfect, even if she had said nothing it would have been better than that but well it was still the hottest scene.

I've read it too but it was plainly made up rubbish by the Mer/Der fanatics jealous when Kate got her own show & a lot of media attention. PD has only said he wants Mer/Der together - which he would say cos that is the official line that he is paid to portray. Some people can't tell fiction from reality !

Back on Mark/Addison, I liked them in the beginning but I never believed he truly loved her. If he did, he wouldn't have cheated on her repeatedly while they were in a relationship & she was pregnant with his child. He slept with Callie the following day he was with Addie. I know she brushed him off but that is no excuse if he really wanted to make it work with her. And during the 60-day bet he only talked about sex, never once about having a relationship with Addie (barbeques etc) which was Addie's whole purpose of the bet in the first place. It was only during the last couple of Season 3 eps that they changed tack & tried to win sympathy for their remaining character (Mark) by making out he was in love with her - but even that was pointless because he'd forgotten about her entirely by Season 4 !

They did make a hot couple though & could have been a great couple if their storyline had been handled differently. I certainly don't want him coming to LA though !

Ash - it really was one of the hottest scenes ever and I loved their kissing. I agree Addison shouldnt have said anything .. or at least not a line like that.. it downgraded the whole scene .. but oh well Shonda loved to screw with our freelings... we all know that

mjones- I think the sleeping with Callie was Marks way of coping. I didnt like it either but I dont think he really thought about what he was doing.. and well .. Callie iniated it.. not him this time. which doesnt mean that I dotn hate that he went with her

The scene would have been SO much better if it wasn't for that one line but you're right, that's Shonda's gift, to screw with us fans and our feelings. IT was still a great scene, and you can always mute it lol and pretend she's saying something else

And I agree with you, I think sleeping with Callie was Mark's way of coping with hearing her tell me she didn't want him there and that she would only see him as a co-worker and nothing more. That has to hurt pretty badly after him coming all the way out there just for her TWICE. Not that I blame her for not jumping into something with Mark right after her divorce. And it's true that Callie is the one who initiated it not him. And well I hate seeing that scene but I really think he only did that because he was hurting and needed something to make him feel better. Bad choice, but still. And Mark said he loved Addison from the very first time we saw him in season 2, calling her the woman he loved. It wasn't like all of the sudden in season 3 when they come up with the bet that he talked about loving her, he was always in love with her. As for season 4, Shonda is stupid and she decided to ignore the fact that Mark is, was in love with Addison, making him just go back to his old ways of being a manwhore.

I agree it was Mark's way of coping with rejection, but that isn't a sign of true love. It just reinforces the label of 'manwhore' & pushes Addie away from the idea of a serious relationship. And according to Addie he cheated repeatedly on her in NY when they were living together, which IMO is unforgivable, esp. as she was pregnant. I completely understand Addie's actions & opinion of him.

That is why I'm not sold on the Maddison ship. I'm just glad that Pete or HotCop in LA land won't be messing it up to the extent that Mark did. I don't foresee either of them cheating even once on her, let alone repeatedly !

Maddison work best in fanfic land where their relationship can be re-written & romanticised !

Yeah he really was a manwhore.. but still I think he changed.. I mean.. the only womean he had in Seattle were Addie and Callie.. this is a sign of change for me.. and he really took the bet serious.. that's what is most important in my opinion..

1st I am looking forward to that as well. I really hope for a scene.

secondly, muting the tv and pretend she said something else in that scene is a great idea, heheeeeeeeee maybe something like "I just cant resist you.. I am drawn to you and no matter how far I am running.. its always you I am coming back to" that would have been so much better than the actual line.

and yes I remember the scene in season 2 where he came back for her told her that she was the woman he love/d. I hate that he cheated on her back in New York and I dont want to excuse that.. but I think it was because he just wasnt used to commitment yet, he wasnt used to wake up to the same woman every day... and well .. I dont think Addison was really commitet to him either. He cheated with other woman.. she maybe "cheated" by still being hung up on her husband and not letting go of him, if you know what I mean

ITA Addison obviously didn't completely let go of Derek during their time together even though she told Derek later that she was in love with Mark. I think she loved Mark but still wasn't ready to give up on her marriage because when she saw Derek in Seattle she convinced him to give their marriage another try.

I think Addison was still hung up on Derek because she never really had closure with him. He was just gone.. they didnt really fight yell or whatever.. he just walked away, I think thatswhy she couldnt commit to Mark because she just didnt really know where she and Derek stood

That's a good point, she never had any closure on their relationship and it's understandable that she couldn't let go of him until she did. He was awful to her when they tried to make things work again and I so wanted her to meet up with Mark at the bar although it would have been kind of wrong since she was trying to make her marriage work, even though Derek never had any problems with talking and flirting with Meredith throughout that time.

I wish she would have gone and seen him as well, at least to tell him that she is sorry but that she has to try to make it work with Derek. I would have loved to see how they act around each other a little more ..we didnt have enough in the one episode in Season 2
