She's the one I love, even though WC kinda killed her by the end of LOL/ATU and stuff, or tried too. Love her in The Tribute still though.

I couldn't look at Julia the same after Lincoln and ATU. And I hated The Tribute, but that's probably because I just can't ship Spencer with anyone but Ashley.

Tribute was definitely not my thing at all - I was surprised I even managed to read the whole thing; I like Julia sometimes, but there was just too much of her in that one, and putting her with Spencer made it even worse for me.

I adore Julia with Lauren - when she's messing with Ashley and Spencer it just gets on my nerves.

I never liked Julia with Lauren, they were never right for each other. I liked her with Sammy. She never messed with Spashley at all, IMO. She couldn't help how she felt, and she tried to fight it. When they slept together, it was because Ashley was stupid and they were broken up and Spencer was heartbroken and needed to feel loved by someone, after Ashley made her feel worthless. Julia didn't start to kinda bug me until later in ATU, and that's only because WC never knew when to quit it, IMO. It was established that Julia loved Spencer, but wasn't in love with her [though was the closest she'd ever been], she was just attracted to her but was over her. But then she always had to come back to it. I do wish she hadn't of had them sleep together in LOL, not because they didn't have every right to, or I hate them together, but just because it ruined the awesome Ashley/Julia friendship forever, and made it impossible for Spencer/Julia to go back to being bffs, because of Ashley.

But I could seperate Lincoln-verse Julia with Tribute!Julia. She was pretty perfect and awesome in the Tribute, and I loved being able to ship and enjoy Spencer/Julia without it being tainted [since I enjoyed her crush on her in the early stages in LOL]. It was just cool to see what it would be like if Julia met her before Ashley, but in the end, it just went to prove that even if she met her first, Ashley will always be Spencer's soulmate, in every lifetime, and Spencer could never really belong to anyone else.

Hardly out of place, not everyone loved or even liked Jules. I hated her in AMOT, and it took a while to warm up to her in LOL, but when she started giving Ashley the tough love advice that she really needed [like her observation about how Ashley never holds Spencer's hand, but her wrist, never hugs her, but playfully pushes her. Or when Ashley was all "I know you think it's stupid ..." and Julia cuts her off and says that she's never downplayed Ashley's love for Spencer, that Ashley does that all by herself], I loved her. She was totally the friend that Ashley needed, not that lameo Claudia Cole.

I guess it's also that it's been so long since I've read any of WC's stuff, so I admit I really don't know her character that well.

I only have LYL to reread. I don't have a copy of LOL so I guess my opinions won't change lol.

All this Julia talk has me wanting to reread WC's stuff - LYL, LOL, and DB specifically.

I haven't read any of it in ages, but I just remembering loving Julia so much. She really is the only OC that I've ever loved too, Brit. She was fierce.

I reread The Tribute right before she reposted it, I can't remember why. But the wrap up of it, in Hellavision/the epilogue in the version posted on ff.net is awesome.
