I love both AU and canon, I don't really care either way. But we tend to have completely different tastes in fics, so it's no surprise that it wasn't really your thing.

Although I always been wary about reading 'Why Superman Could Never Find A Phone Booth', I keep hearing that it is not for the faint of heart. |

I've heard it was really pretentious and blah, but ... I'm not a fan of the author's work, so I've never read it.

Hmm ok that does not sound like my kind of fic. Since the show ended all I've been reading is relative fluff.

Yeah you could always give it a shot. It is one of the darker fics. If you really want to stay away from dark stuff, I'd keep off The Ground Beneath Her Feet (even though it's soooo good) and Seven Days In July (even though it's one of my favorites of all time)

I'll usually read the first chapter of a fic at least. And if I don't like it, or it seems like it'll be one that will take a while to get good/or less angsty, I'll wait and then read it when it's further along.
