Season One Discussion Thread # 1
Here you can discuss the first season! What you had expected of the show after seeing your first ep or the pilot ep. If it turned out they way you thought it would and what made you a fan.
I for one was a fan from the first minute. I loved how the show was shot, the dialogue, the filming, the characters, the actors. It was new, refreshing, juvenile,.. something I craved after all that crap they show nowadays on TV.  __________________

To tell you the truth, I became a fan of SON during season 2, but I downloaded season 1 after I watched the season 2 premiere, and I loved it! I think that season 1 was better than season 2, even though season 2 got me hooked in the first place,
 And the reason why I love this show so much? Spashley.  Word, little darling, word. __________________

i absolutely adored Season 1. i started watching when season 2 premiered, and i was entrigued, but i wasn't truly addicted until i started downloading and watching season 1, i love it

I loved the episode Put out or Get out. When Ashley was sitting on Spencer's bed when she's getting ready for her "date" with Kelly.

That scene in Put Out or Get Out is one of my favorites, even though it wasn't anything special or meaningful or anything. It was just really cute and funny, and I loved their giggling. I also loved the way Ashley pauses her conversation with Paula for a split second when Spence comes out of the closet (hee) all dressed nice. So cute.

Season one was simply perfect in my opinion. I almost wish the show had been cancelled after that remarkable Ashley and Spencer kiss and fade to black. Because season 2 did not live up to my expectations. At all.

Maybe they shouldn't have waited so long to show the second season cos I think by the time it was airing (the second season) most of the fans had read so many fanfics that it really did seem like real and that it might actually happen on the show.

There are some amazing fics, and they actually really do help with the hiatus! I do tend to like AU ones better, but the ones that follow cliffhangers are always good. And I think you're right, after all the fics, I was totally disappointed, and I hope that doesn't happen next season.

Well I think Season Two isn't nearly as great as Season One. I loved the buildup to their relationship and all the cute little subtexty things that happened.
And yes that first kiss was magical, cept for Mandy's hand, lol. __________________
