Me neither, it depresses me muchly. But there were a few good episodes, that didn't have much icky triangle taint in them.

I know i haven't posted on this board much at ALL, but i thought i'd join in...

I didn't like S2 much either, but the only good thing was that it brought in Kayla (Kyla?), which distracted Aiden for a while, and allowed Spashley to concentrate on each other. And it also showed a much more vulnerable side to Ash which we didn't see much of in S1. Me, though? I'm a big supporter of S3! especially the last episode of 3A, and what's to come in 3B...heheh

I love Kyla, but her coming and Aiden liking her only caused Ashley to get 'jealous' and for Kyla to make stupid comments to Aiden about Ashley supposedly looking at him like she's in love with him and to Spence about them getting back together. Besides, he only used her and then dumped her, without getting called on it, of course. As for Ashley being vulnerable in S2 ... pfft, maybe in the premiere, but other than that, I saw a lame, new, inconsistant version of Ashley that didn't seem to care about Spence half the time. She was much more vulnerable in S1, IMO; taking the risk to go to the dance, sharing her past with Spencer, admitting to be jealous, talking about her first time with a girl, opening up about her attention seeking ways, getting upset about Spence going on a date with Aiden, letting Spencer see her at her worse that night, then admitting to being scared of being with Spencer, and ultimately risking it all to be with her. Whereas S2, other than crying when her dad died, and claiming to need Spence after they were seperated, she was closed off to Spencer and pushed her away and flirted with Aiden and was just all around not very cool half the time. There were times when she was great, from like 204-209ish, but other times when she was the opposite of great. The writers were horrible with her in S2, totally inconsistant. Take the stupid paintball episode: in the previous one, she and Spence ran away together because they needed each other, and in the paintball one, she doesn't make an effort with Paula and instead hangs out with Aiden and then lies about it and is pretty much in bitch face mode all episode. Then in the next episode, she's sweet Ashley agian, with the card and the date and being reassuring about the tape and stuff. STUPID.

So yeah, S1!Ashley >>>>> Any other Ashley, though 3B Ashley is pretty awesome.

I completely agree with you, Brit. I loved S1!Ashley so much, and it's what made me love the character. S2!Ashley cannot even compare, she was pretty lame half the time. I am looking forward for 3B!Ashley though, when the-N finally airs it.

I think 3B Ashley is finally the mature version we've all known was in there, and pops up in fanfic all the time, but only made little cameo's in the first two seasons.

I really do love all Ashley because I can't say I wish one season's Ashley wasn't around since without them, the evolved Ash from s3 would've never came about. She had to be selfish and stupid to learn from her own mistakes. Everything that happened in s2 between Spencer and Ashley were their own doing. I don't put the blame on one more than the other and I include Aiden in that. They all had equal part in what happened but because of everything that happened between Spashley, they grew from it and became what I was always waiting for in 3b.

3b is the closest to s1 as the show ever got. Even if it still didn't touch it's coattails. s1 is just epic.
