Random fact: Ryan Devlin (who guest stars this week as a theater owner) ---- played my college-student boyfriend in a never-seen pilot called ‘The World According to Barnes’. Currently ‘Valentine’ is taking about a month hiatus from shooting, so while it’s a little sad that I don’t get to see the cast everyday, it will give me some nice time to catch up on other things. NBC is has put out a pilot commitment for a new take on Jason and the Argonauts, which would be the first green screen drama developed for primetime. Media Rights Capital is behind Jason, which comes from Surface alums and exec producers Josh and Jonas Pate, reports Variety. Sanctuary, which has been the most successful launch of a series since Eureka for Sci Fi, is also filmed with green screens, but originally aired on the Web. MRC recently made news when its two Sunday night CW shows, Easy Money and Valentine were put on production hiatus until their performances are evaluated. This is NBC's second go-around with this particular Greek myth. The Peacock aired the unrelated Robert Halmi miniseries Jason and the Argonauts, starring Frank Langella and Dennis Hopper, in 2000. Former ‘OC’ Beauty Autumn Reeser ‘Possesses’ A ‘Valentine’ Autumn Reeser believes in love. In both her new show “Valentine,” premiering on the CW Sunday (October 5), and in her new movie “Possessions,” the former “OC” actress is trying to make true love happen at all costs – for her character in “Possessions,” and for everyone but herself in “Valentine.” “I play Phoebe, who is the Goddess of the Oracle at Delphi, in ‘Valentine,’” Reeser said. “She helps everybody pinpoint who their soul mates are, so the rest of the gods can all go out and bring them together. She’s like a flower child, and she loves the idea of being in love. She thinks it looks wonderful.” Well, except when it’s unrequited or ignored. In “Possessions,” her character Jessica’s true love is the ex-girlfriend of the lead character, Orlando (played by Trent Ford), whose body is slowly becoming possessed by a voice in his head named Jean-Luc. “She’s completely in love with Orlando, and a big part of why they broke up in the first place is that he doesn’t understand unconditional love,” Reeser said. “She knows something’s off, but he won’t tell her. She’s the heart of the movie, but most of the action happens with Orlando, in this Charlie Kaufmann-esque journey of trying to figure out, ‘Who is this voice inside my head?’” So what would happen if her TV show and movie collided? Halloween Blog Post from Autumn

Bad news on the Valentine front I'm afraid.

In mid-October, MRC shut down the production on both shows. The reason given was that the writers needed time to catch up on scripts. Based on the series’ terrible ratings, coupled with and MRC’s much-publicized financial and management issues, it’s likely execs were trying to figure out if it made any sense to resume production. Word is that they’ve now made a decision. Valentine and Easy Money have been cancelled, won’t return to production, and won’t complete the 13 episode orders. Eight episodes of each show have reportedly been completed and the fifth episodes will air this Sunday night. The company is supposedly still committed to filling the CW timeslots so execs are likely searching for replacements. Will those perform any better? Stay tuned

It's not official I don't think but it doesn't seem hopeful. Shame if it's true, I thought we'd at least get 13.

I'm told that financier and producer Media Rights Capital has canceled two of the four shows it put on The CW after being given the rare opportunity to program a network's Sunday nights. Both Valentine and Easy Money had been put on hiatus with skeleton crews while more scripts were written. Now both series are on permanent hiatus, which is a nicer way of saying they've been cancelled. MRC still has authority to program Sunday nights on The CW for the entire 2008-2009 season so it'll be choosing two replacement shows right away.

I think they should atleast give it it's 13 episode run for it to try andd grow an audience. Neither the CW or MRC have really given Valentine a chance. With MRC being new it wouldn't really be smart of them to go axing shows all willy nilly.

Ahgghhry! I really wished it wasn't true. Valentine wasn't an amazing show but it was cute and Autumn adorable.

Oh, well let's look for a tiny silver lining and say at least she's free in time for pilot season and hopefully she's been a bit more visible to casting directors and has a few offers for guest roles on popular exsisting shows.

I really wish we'd got 13, it's not like they can put anything else on right away. And nothing they produce is going to compete much better in that very tough timeslot. I do want to see the rest of what they filmed at the very least.
