Story
Ally, a singer/song writer high school graduate is looking to save her mother's record store while Madison, the spoiled and ruthless heiress to the owners of the mall tries to shut down the music store and steal Ally's boy.

Autumn will play the mall owner's daughter, Madison. She wants space for her own clothing boutique and tries to get that space with closing the failing music store of Ally's mom.

This is going to be awesome for a lot of reasons. We're finally going to get to hear Autumn sing and it's really going to boost her career, which she so deserves.

Borden says Mall will "skew older" than High School Musical and will explore new musical avenues that are "still pop." Viewers can probably look forward to a few Fall Out Boy-esque sequences at a Hot Topicy store and some "Supermanning" at the food court.

Actors Nina Dobrev (Degrassi: The Next Generation) and Rob Mayes will lead the ensemble cast that includes Autumn Reeser, who played Taylor Townsend on The O.C. Shooting starts January at — you guessed it — a mall in Provo, Utah.

Yup, I guess that comes with being the mean girl, she's not really the leading lady. But still, I'm sure she'll kick ass, and who knows, maybe she'll turn into a leading lady, she's able to do it!
