Of course! That is one of the main reasons.

And I think that if Hugh wasn't the star of the show, the less of viewers had been higher.

I know that I wouldn't watch otherwise. Nobody else could pull off House's part like our man Hugh

Without him it would be just another medical drama. Actually, the only other actor I could see playing the part of House, IMO, is Dennis Leary, but House has to be hot..and Dennis Leary IS NOT
