So my Twitter is saying that Hugh has said in an interview that The Oranges will be released in the FALL of 2012

is that same time frame that was said during the Film festivle or is that pushed back even further..

Serisouly, it was show already to them there was no reas why it wasn't released this hoilday season

I don't know if Hugh said that because the quote comes from the Facebook page of the producers, but yeH, I can't imagine he is happy with that. He shot the movie over 2 years ago....

I bet we will see Mr. Pip earlier....

Kali, I think it's pushed back further because the imdb page always said 2011....

You know I would love to know how this chioce was made...I mean seriously, what could have been the major factor in such a decision. You have a really good movie with actors that have hords of fans between them, wouldn't you want to strike while the people were willing to PAY to see this

.. this will make it a 3 year wait ...all I can say is for a delay like that they better have the full scene

to make up for it!

I really think the long wait is not good for the movie, people will forget about it, will ignore it or dismiss it, because it's old news. That's what I'm afraid of.
But you are right, it's an excellent movie, with great actors and a good story, it's a shame, they could out it out right now, for me, it does not have to be Christmas to watch a Christmas related movie

I dunno why they couldn't have just released it to DVD right away and then hyped it up as a TIFF movie that was well enjoyed. Then it woulda been out for xmas.

Yes you are right! I mean, they still could sow it on festivals or something, I think it's really a bad idea to wait that long.
They'll probably release Mr. Pip this summer/fall (it's listed for 2012 on imdb) so no one will be interested in Hugh's "old" movie...

But that movie could have some serious award potential, no?
