Zac: "It's tough, because I got to know all the cast in their own individual ways. I definitely had a great vibe with Nikki; I think she's an amazing girl and I think we'll be friends for years to come after doing this film together." To be able to bring two really great characters together in that way, and also to bring myself closer to Zac, a kiss is a very special thing. And when you share something like that with someone, even though you're playing characters, you still do share it. To share a kiss with a great guy like Zac was just sweet, and he's one of my best friends in the entire world. I was superexcited that my first screen kiss was with someone so incredibly talented and kindhearted." ~ Nikki Rove: Was there any tongue action in your on-screen kiss? Zac: (emphatically) Yeah. Rove: Y'know there a moment there where I kinda thought you...just a little... *makes twiddle gestures*..did you?! Zac: A bit..y'know..you kinda forget...I guess.. Nikki: That we're on tv! Zac: ..and you get carried away.. Rove: How could you not?! Zac:..this was one of those moments... In Australia we work on total honesty. Nikki, have you ever been kissing a guy, thinking of Zac? Zac: (gasps and laughs a little) Nikki: Oh (giggles), um no no. I live in the moment. Only, only when I am kissing Zac in the movie, or you know, that's that's the only time I am thinking about Zac. About the MOD kiss: Zac:It was, it was very fun. No regrets man. Nikki:No regrets (Zac repeats no regrets) at all. Zac: No regrets, come on. Nikki: Never. Zac: Come on...yeah! Zac: It was fun. Nikki: We had a good time. It was you know… it was…It wasn’t a hard day at the office. Zac: We made it fun. But it… one thing I can say for sure it was never awkward. Nikki: Never. Zac: Never. Nikki: No Zac: Nuh-uh. Nikki: But, this is getting awkward! (Nikki and Zac laugh) "This is Nikki. She’s playing Tracy. She’s absolutely incredible. I get to make out with her in the movie. Nikki: "A lady never kisses and tells, but all I'm going to say is it did not disappoint, and I hope I didn't, either." TWIST: Can you tell us about your most embarrassing moment? Nikki: "I guess, it's kind of embarrassing but Zac and I were doing a kissing scene in Hairspray and we didn't hear the director yell cut. So, we went on for like four minutes, and it was kind of embarrassing to turn around and see all the backup dancers with their arms folded . They kind of looked at us and just said, "Are you done yet?" And I was just like, "I didn't hear anybody say cut, like guys you know, use the megaphone , be a little louder!" That was kind of embarrassing." Interviewer: "What what were you wearing when you had your first kiss? Nikki: "I was actually in my Hairspray outfit when I got my first kiss" Interviewer: "Was is Zac Efron?" Nikki: "Wouldn't you wish? No, he was second." Interviewer: "I wanna bring back the Zac Efron kiss. Just so uhh, replay it over and over. Do you guys still keep in touch?" Nikki: "Oh I thought you were going to say do we still kiss. I can't talk about that gosh, I'd be giving away too much. Zac: Like twenty years down the road, Tracy is making sandwiches for Link." Nikki:"Exactly! We kinda, we wanted to go (Zac says yeah) back to where we think we be in like ten years so then worked our way back down. Zac: Really get in the heads Nikki: Cause we totally saw ourselves like, you know how we would be if we were married with kids and came all the way down. Zac: And Link on the couch with a beer and she's making a sandwich. Nikki: Exactly." Nikki: "Neither of us wear coats. We're both riding the Hairspray train. He's driving it. I'm shotgun." "After Tuesday, I had a couple of days of rest, working on business, but now it is time for me to have a fun night out with another of my amazing Hairspray co-stars - Zac Efron, who is hosting SNL. Zac extended an invitation to watch him perform on Saturday Night Live and I’m excited to go and spend some time with my Link. Oh, is that what I said? Yeah. Nikki(laughs): Yeah, he does! Interviewer: ‘Cause their larger than life and comfortable in their skin' Zac: Well rock on, it’s true. It’s true! Nikki: (takes his hand) That’s sweet Zac! Zac: I always say, it’s funny... but one of the main reasons I can relate to Link is because you know I’m not all about these like super super skinny perfect girls. I mean that’s so Hollywood, that’s not what girls are about. It’s self-confidence (Nikki giggles), it’s…it’s um, sense of humor, it’s fun, it’s what you do. It’s how comfortable you are. Nikki: It’s how you shake your stuff. Zac: That’s…yeah! And Nikki’s got… Nikki’s got some stuff to shake.
