general discussion/movies/musicals thread........it doesnt get much discussion these days so it only took a few minutes to be in the timeframe of August 2006 and found this........

I have to admit, there are some weird facial expressions in HSM... I remember once reading this parody 'commentary' on Television Without Pity which described him as singing with a "wide" mouth

I kind of love it.

I kind of see their point on the facial expressions and I don't think Brittany had done any project involving music before that, but I think they both proved the skeptics wrong in Hairspray.

Hairspray was a big gamble for a lot of them... I mean, people might've doubted Jimmy's ability to carry that character, or the ability of an unknown to carry the film... a lot of proving people wrong all over the place
