We have a party this Friday at work but I'm not going. Too much trouble to go up there and no one knows us cuz we work from home

I know that feeling well, I used to work at another hospital (a few years ago) and literally no one would speak to us if there was a department Christmas party, that we eventually just stopped going and started doing our own one. Thankfully the place were I work now they are all so lovely. We had our staff lunch/day out last Saturday, only 15 of us went which was unusual as there is normally about 40 of us. The docs paid for everything and once the meal was over they all went home and the 10 of us that were left ended up going to a karaoke club for 3 hours, we had such fun.

I have a barn Christmas party to go that's thrown by my barn manager. I'm hopefully goinng to that tomorrow but I've been feeling sick so I'm just on a wait and see sort of thing.

They normally have me scheduled for either 7-3 or 3-11, but it was last minute they asked if I could work the night shift and it was my first and last time because I can't stay up that late.

I don't know how people do it. It takes a special type of person to work night shift.

You do get used to it though if you do it regularly. I have to admit doing it just one time doesn't really give you time to adjust

but I hope you can avoid it in the future.

That's what the other people on night shift told me, but I really don't want to do it again to find out. I think they realize now I'm not cut out for night shift.

Yesterday I went to the theater with Carly, my sister, niece and my mum to see Aladdin, it was so good the cast were amazing as they are ever year. We have our tickets already purchased for next Christmas too, it's Snow White

We never made to Winter Wonderland or the outdoor skating as it was raining and so cold.

For today to do some grocery shopping then I am going to wrap all the presents. Carly is away staying with her dad and grandparents until the 23rd, so I have the next few days to myself.
