There are so many reasons we can give as to why we’re fans of Zac and Vanessa. It’s not just because they are adorably cute, and it’s not just because they put the characters we’ve come to know and love to life. Us fans, we can see it, the love in their eyes, the passion they have for each other. They hold hands, share intimate gazes, or even just make the smallest of gestures that send us off in a fit of squeals. Some may call it young love, or puppy love, but to us we don’t care. We can see past that. We’ve seen them from the very beginning, and followed their journey into fame together, and along the way, we can tell the difference in their romance apart from all the other young celebrity couples. It’s not a “showmance” as some people may call it. It is something real, and that’s something that we, the fans, know for sure. There are a lot of things that makes them Zac and Vanessa; a lot of things that made us love them. And throughout their relationship, we know our love for them will continue to grow as their love for each other intensifies.

The important thing about their relationship is they're not just lovers, but they’re best friends as well. They started as f r i e n d s, being paired up through out the entire process of the High School Musical Auditions, so they were already familiar with each other come filming, even before they got comfortable with everyone else. And even after they began seeing each other in a romantic relationship, that friendship still didn’t go away. It g r e w as the years went by. And they don’t just do couple-y stuff; they also do normal things like go to Carl’s Jr, or McDonalds at odd hours of the day or grabbing a smoothie together. They’re not Hollywood Superstars at home. They’re just who they are.

He can’t get enough of her, that much is true. He’s very much infatuated with her and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to notice. Even when someone says her name, he can’t help but smile and blush. Just the thought of her gets him giddy. He’s the kind of guy that likes to just look at his girlfriend, bask in her beauty, and sometimes even lean in to nuzzle against her neck and smell her hair. Most of the time he doesn’t even realize he’s doing it. When they’re together, he can’t help but have an ounce of body contact with her. It doesn’t matter if its just their hands touching; he’ll take it. Sometimes, his hands have a mind of their own and start to wander…more so on her lower back area. And when he still needs more of her, he always uses his charm on their handlers and people around them to get them out of a crowded place just so he can be alone with her.

They’ve been with each other for so long that they have become completely in sync. They just automatically m a t c h each other and know what the other wants. They walk in step, they drink simultaneously, they know when the other needs food or comfort. They also have a habit of sharing things. If not clothes then their place of comfort, like their seats. It’s like a game of musical chairs. They also like to s h a r e cars, well mostly he likes to drive her car. But she doesn’t mind, as long as she gets to spend time with him.

He knows her well, better than most of her other friends do. He knows whenever she’s angry or sad. He knows how to cheer her up and make her l a u g h. He knows to give her lilies because its her favorite flower, rather than roses. He'll take her out because he wants to treat her to a special meal, rather than just stay at home with leftovers. He’s p r o t e c t i v e of her, but not to the point that he’s suffocating her. He knows just when to push his boundaries, and yet not to push her limits.

They’ve had many firsts with each other. Like learning their first w a l t z. He didn’t know if he could have done that dance comfortably or as good if he had been partnered with anybody else. They just b a l a n c e each other out in dancing; he couldn’t have done it without her support. He simply can’t keep her away from him. He always has her with him in events in his life that he wants to share with her. For instance, taking her to his manager’s wedding. His manager has been very supportive of him and has helped him with a lot throughout his career. He was honored to be there to witness as they said their ‘I Do’s’. And it was even more special having her with him. It was one of those magical moments when he looked at her, the romantic setting around them, that he just want to stop time and cherish it.

People cannot deny the u n d e n i a b l e chemistry between them. Even from the start when they first met, people around them could tell there was something special when you put them together. It was no surprise that they won an award for having the best chemistry. And you can see that chemistry off screen too, when they’re just being in their o w n world. They don’t even try, just put them together and they’ve got it. Chemistry, love, friendship. They’ve known it from the beginning, they do belong with each other. They are each other’s kuuipos’s after all.
