They met downstairs again and no surprise here, he was running late. Vanessa laughed to herself as he stumbled down into the lobby area and was trying to dress himself in a blue hoodie that looked like it had seen better days. With his left arm through one and his eyes peaking out from the fourth hole on top, Vanessa met his smile with one of her own.

Last night hadn’t been as bad as she had pegged it out to be. She wasn’t able to sleep that was the first thing, but then, something happened and it was like she was magically Vanessa again and even Corbin, who was eyeing her suspiciously over next to Ashley, knew something was up. Something…better.

Zac stopped right before Vanessa and without knowing what she was doing, her hands guided up and pulled the rest of his hoodie down onto his upper half. Straightening out the creases to make him presentable, she stopped just long enough for him to catch her hands in his. Just like the night before, his eyes pierced into hers and she didn’t have enough strength to pull away from him. “Thanks,” he huskily said and kept his gaze on her up until Ashley came up jumping beside them.

“I want those pants! Please let me borrow those!” Ashley pipped up and pointed at Vanessa’s red plaid crop pants which were so comfortable.

“Where would you wear these?”

“I have no idea, but they’re just so cute!”

“Only if I get that one hoodie from you,” Vanessa negotiated, hoping Ashley would say yes, because Vanessa loved that hoodie and it was so warm.

“Okay, deal. Hi Zac,” Ashley looked over to the tall guy still attached to Vanessa with a perky smile.

“Okay, people,” Kenny clapped his hands over his head and got everyone’s attention. “Well, Wildcats, we have guests waiting, let’s go,” the man himself said, waving them all towards the entrance doors to the Kensington.

Vanessa was about to bolt with Ashley when Zac pulled her back and slid beside her, latching his arms onto her like his life depended on it. Pulling her into a tight embrace, his hands roamed through her soft locks and he smiled down at her. “Sit by me on the bus?”

“Do I get anything?”

“Just the pleasure of my company, my lady,” he posed a fake bow and she laughed at him. It was just a little like before the airport scene. And she liked that.

“I guess that will do,” she joked, sliding her hand into his and pulling him out before Kenny stormed back in to get them. Well, Kenny wouldn’t really storm, but rather do his ‘we’re-in-a-hurry-now-move-move-move’ speech. “Come on, the back seats the best.”
