“We need to work on a lot of things, Zac. But this, this tops the cake,” she paused, folding her arms across her chest and looking back up at him. “Why’d you have to tell me now? Right when I’m leaving tomorrow morning?”
“Because if I didn’t, I’d never have the chance to. It would be either Ashley or Alexa tearing you away from you and me time or promotions for the movies or the tour coming up…I would never get the chance.”
“One more question,” she said, not really asking if she could ask another one and stepped closer, grabbing the loose ends of his green shirt in her hands. “What took you so long?”
“What…you mean…” Zac trailed off as he gently placed his left hand on her bare shoulder while the other was guided by her own hand and placed on her waist. But once she looked straight into his eyes again, he didn’t need an answer anymore. He just knew.
“Yea, Zac. I love you too.”
