do you really want a second hairspray? personally-though I'd rather that than footloose-I think the story should end now-it had the perfect ending-why must hollywood beat everything to death!?

Well for me personally I loved the movie..and yes it had a perfect ending but it had a lot of beginnings for a lot of the characters and I would love to see where they could take it. How Link & Tracy's relationship would develop, same for Seaweed & Penny, how the Corny Collins show being integrated, would Amber turn for the better?....but from what I know of the ideas thrown about the sequel it would be a few yrs after this time...when the Beatles mania/British Invasion began and I love that music...and to see where the characters are in that time period and what could come from that is exciting

Plus what really first turned me into a huge fan of the movie was the singing/dancing numbers and that is so what I am looking forward too if the sequel happens....all the new songs/dance numbers we would get out of it. Scott/Mark are genius's! Plus more Trink and Link

And I want more of this

I see where you're coming from but I think there's a danger of over doing it. I believe in 'leave them wanting more' and I think sometimes in hollywood when they get onto a good thing there's the temptation of keeping it going because it's a money-maker, and then you end up with films like the 3rd godfather or the home alone movies that did'nt have macaulay culkin :shudders:

Well you have the right to our own opinion. I see what you mean but I want more

But this board is pretty divided on the good possibility of a sequel anyway. But most people are not for Zac doing Footloose (but would support him ofc).
