they did comment on the real life characters lives, but in the movie the actors were all pretty much left hanging...leaving us wondering how this impacted them. The scenes showing Zac and Colin trying to go about work as usual the next day, or afternoon, were really sad to me. Marsha's nurse character recognized how impacted he was, just shows another big part of the tragedy, overwhelming sadness and feeling helpless against such unimaginable violence and senselessness. I think that's how people maybe felt after 9/11?

I would imagine JFK's assassination and 9/11 are probably right on up there with how it impacted people of the country.

too bad it often takes a huge tragedy to pull people together and appreciate all we've got, and how life can be taken at any moment for no reason.

It is unfortunate that is true, I guess there are happy events out there that bring us all together, they probably just aren't as news worthy.

At first, I didn't understand why he slept at the hospital but then I realized back then the residents used to if they were on call.
