Yep. A guy argued rather persistently for 20minutes about its location. Before I got so mad and just told him to check a map before he spoke to me again.

What other experiences would you like to hear?

My embarrassing tale of asking for a rubber?
How I didn't know the difference between talking and talking?
How I fail to know any cool British words?

I have 2 years worth of having my roots questioned.

Whilst some of that made me giggle, I can imagine it being very, very trying.

Well talking is like what you and I are doing. Just chatting away.
Talking talking is basically flirting with a guy, or so I believe. I'm still not entirely sure. All I know is that I have to remember to say know when somebody asks if we were talking.

Oh, I also fail at being able to write the date now. It completely confuses me.

It does get old Kate. I don't mind for the most part, I really don't. But some people are just idiots and annoy me. Point in case, after doing a presentation in Physical Geography on hurricanes a question from the class was for me to repeat Mississippi because I said it weird. He got made to apologise to me after class because it was rude and disrespectful and the teacher made a huge deal out if it. I was just going to send him death glares.

I think I'm gonna stay in England

I get confused enough when Abby uses American words sometimes

I do? Oh yeah, I have embraced certain terminology. Though I refuse to use sidewalk and pantyhose... and wallet for my purse and purse for my handbag.

Regardless of what I go through sometimes, I wouldn't change this experience for anything.

When i was working in Germany, we had to use American spelling and typing "z" instead of "s" made me cringe. Eurgh.

I'm teaching Mel (Pelmel) to talk British English Although I sometimes wonder whether I just use quirky language!

I refuse to change my spelling. My professors have to embrace it.

Everybody should learn British English.

Quirky language? Like what Kate? It may be a Northern thing.

Well a semester is different to a term.
Semester - means there are two of them.
term - doesn't have a number association though there are usually three.

And I still refer to crips as crisps.
But sometimes my mind is like hold up.... are they thinking American? It is so confusing, I confuse myself at times.

Like sprogs and lads.

I don't know really...I think I have quite a large vocabularly, and I like funny sounding words...

Hmmm, not sure..I just tend to either use uncommon words or make words up...like crappify or crapload or...

Who knows.

Okay, despite melting I need to try and get some sleep! Night
